Ever stay at a hostel

Hell no. I saw this movie where they were taking people from a hostel and killing them! I forgot what it was called though.

It's the only way to travel if you are single and/or traveling alone. You meet so many girls + people to hang with. Best way to do it is get a hostel Mon to Thurs and get a hotel for Fri and Sat night. That way any hostel yambs u meet + etc from going put fri sat night you have a place to get down.

Those are wise words.

In terms of security and theft, hopefully their lockers are large enough to fit whatever luggage you have.

Everything else you just gotta put up with.
If it gets real bad with someone in the room, you'd think the rest of the group would band together to intervene

stayed at 1 when i went on vacation to Panama... its ok but its basically a no frills motel... some are better than others... i went to this 1 place where the bathroom was public and the AC was turned off majority of the day except at night which was decent... my 1 friend went to the red light district and brought a jumpoff over and the bed was so cheap he broke it with the chick so he tried to smash on the floor but the chick complained that it was too hot so it was just a 20 minute smash.... second place i stayed at was cool but the bugs were outta control.. when i went to sleep they went ham on me and i got some scars on me even until this day...it really is true you get what you pay for but i guess it really depends also on where you stay too

Damn son, what a grave dig.

I stayed at the Green Tortoise Inn when I was in Seattle. Not a bad plan and I enjoyed myself immensely. I bunked w/ 3 other people. Privacy is an issue but I was so busy being out and about that it really didn't matter. Met some cool people there, got some bud, had some fun.

Would I do it again? Yes.

Do your reviews. Be open-minded (especially about the shared bathroom, bunking with other people, being a little more sociable if your not) and you'll be okay. I mean first and foremost you should make sure that the hostel is cheap enough. Some can actually cost a lot for some reason which makes no sense.

If your gonna stay on a hostel you either A)want to somewhere to stay for cheap B)Want a different travel experience from just staying in a regular hotel room and wouldn't mind meeting new people C)Combination of location, inexpensiveness, and different atmosphere

Never forget when I was 21 and stayed at one in Philly like a mile from South street. Got a French chick and a fat chick from Pittsburgh to start making out with each other then go down on me in the laundry room. Fat chick started getting weirded out and bounced so I skeeted in the French chicks mouth and she spit it at me and was pissed I did'nt warn her. Left the next day, they thought I was gonna be there for 2 weeks more. Hostels are cool untill it's time to sleep and it stinks and your hearing a half dozen people snoring. But traveling on a budget they are cool and a great way to meet ho'z..ehh heemm.. I mean nice people.

My cousin is in the navy and he is stationed in Naples Italy right now and travels all over Europe seems like every other week. He stays in and out of hostels all the time. If he's safe then I'm sure it's safe.
