Any Golfers on NT?

Played the other day at a local course with some friends of mine. We got in 27 holes. Shot a 40 and 41 on the front and shot a 41 on the back. Had 1 birdie and 1 eagle. Eagle putt must have been about a 30 footer, I was surprised I drained it with the way my putting was going all day. Should have broke 80 but missed a couple putts inside 10 feet. It was nice all morning till we hit the back 9, wind was terrible, prolly about 25-30 mph winds. Hoping to get out today or over the weekend for sure.

My whole Mem day weekend golf plans finna get rained out.

Weather's a bit better today... Gonna be a lot warmer and hopefully all the rain will be completely out of the area... Just booked a 43% off regular price tee time on golfnow.com at a local Links course.

I thought golf now was 9 holes only how exactly does it work?
They pretty much buy up rates from courses when they're going to be slow kind of like yesterday was with crappy weather... We got on for $45 where usually its at least $75.

Course was beautiful.  I might play it again today but it'll be $65 instead...

I think golfnow is similar to like priceline and expedia on how they do hotels.

If i'm not getting a hookup to play for free GolfNow.com is the best place to find a tee time. I have booked on my phone many times while in the parking lot of a course. I usually call the course and see if they would rather have the business then golfnow. #humblebrag jkjk

Ahhh was just wondering if NT had a golf thread

I luckily enough have a summer job at a nice little private course (believe its around 50grand to join) which members still have to pay around $180 a round, which i get to play for free..Im got a tee time next week ill post some pics.

Would be cool if we can all share some tip's ex: shooting out of sandtraps, working your way out of the rough, might make everyones season better

hah! i've done that a few times.... being in the oc this is all too common. a few years ago, my buddy and i went to a course randomly to see what time / rate we can get just to walk on.... while he was asking. i was on the phone looking up golfnow and i was like "hey, the course down the street (which has traditionally been in better condition) is $15 bucks cheaper.... let's go and we can get a tee time in 10 minutes"

starter was PISSED

That is rough. Although the course is getting what they ask for.

You wouldn't believe how many times I walk in the shop and ask what the rate is. I tell them I was hoping they had a better price than golfnow and the guy in the shop says, "You have to book through them to get the rate." SMH. Then these courses cry that they are losing money and GolfNow is the devil.
