the only thing I know about that guy is that he has some sort of personal vendetta with Alp, it's one of the more consistent things on here, like Peter Griffin and the Chicken fights.
I've been a member on the board since back in 02-03...

I'll size up all resellers on here.

You don't like it, like your soft buddy alp then so be it.

If you're going to flaunt that you are a reseller be ready to take criticism.

Mods that lurk on here, esp the newly appointed ones barely know the forums own rules (I've seen some openly admit it in other threads - carry on).

Reselling/resellers werent accepted in threads back then, but now it's all cool.

Mostly because some of these mods get broken off when they need a release.

I keep in consistent.

You feel like I'm too hurtful - block me.
If we're playing the seniority game to establish qualifications..  I've been here since authoring the site's first post back in 1999.  I also know the rules.  I wrote most of them myself.

Resellers were less of a "threat" in the halcyon days of old, because there was less competition for purchasing shoes online and the strategy of artificial scarcity hadn't quite reached the fever pitch common to contemporary releases.  Obviously users preferred to see people helping each other out simply out of kindness or camaraderie, but every other thread didn't become a crusade against resale, nor did we have some policy where anyone "guilty" of resale was branded a heretic and exiled to Sole Collector.

Reselling will always exist so long as there's an economic incentive.  As nice as it would be for everyone to have the guaranteed opportunity to purchase their desired products at retail, the sneaker companies see more money in whipping people into a frenzy to purchase 1,000 different "limited release" variations than four or five "general release" items.  It's a cynical marketing scheme that pits consumers against each other.  You're not going to "shame" resellers out of existence.  They'll stop the moment it's no longer profitable.

Our rules were always designed to keep threads focused, informative, and friendly.  The point of prohibiting buy/sell attempts outside the designated area was to keep sneaker topics from becoming cluttered with spam.  The deletion of "stockroom pics" is simply an extension of that.  If someone wants to show what the shoes look like in person by sharing pictures of their own personal pair when they arrive, fine.  That can be considered helpful.  To show a bunch of extras has no purpose other than thinly veiled buy/sell attempts (I clearly don't need all of these... *wink wink*") or childish "I have five pairs, you have zero" trolling.  When such posts are brought to the staff's attention using the report feature, they're deleted.

To the point of keeping threads focused, informative, and friendly, we do NOT need anybody out here playing vigilante with resellers - much less in every single thread.

Nobody wants to read a bunch of Internet slap fighting over something as trivial as reselling sneakers.  Insulting someone who resells sneakers only further clutters these threads with nonsense.

The applicable policies are actually very simple:
  • NO buying or selling outside of the designated buy/sell area.  Cutesy attempts to circumvent this rule will not be tolerated.

  • NO insults or personal attacks.  That you feel they're "justified" is utterly irrelevant.
Those who flagrantly or repeatedly violate these rules will be have their access revoked.

Any questions, send me a PM.  Otherwise, let's stay on topic.

All meth did was drop exactly what I said...

I respect meth and all of the older mods.

I'll end this now.

im mad i just clicked that link and happily listened to 1:02 minutes of the crickets

I'm baffled that dudes struck out on an AF1 in 2015. Once I saw the video of the color changing effect I knew it was a wrap on those....glad I had no interest in them whatsoever

:smokin

Called soon as they opened this morn and was told sold out

The one thing that turned me off about the liberties is how fast they changed color. I preferred the copper color, so the instant color change ruined it for me.

^I beg to differ, comfortable depending on the sizing

Lady libs look cool, but im at a point where im copping stuff i missed out on in the past couple yrs

Force fields suck, they hurt too. Just wear the shoes..

exactly. idk what the big deal is about creasing. shoes WILL crease. i actually like the creasing bc it gives it character and as the perfect pair would say, "wear your shoes".

im a size 13, tried them once in 2007/2008 wore them once, ripped them out then threw them out. Just stuff the hell out of each shoe at the toe area with 1 big wad of paper towel and it'll some-what keep its shape when stored.
