We looked ok today against the socceroos. Buddle, Findley and Gomez are looking really good. Cant wait for Saturday.

Here is the list of the people going. I am going to try to call ESPNZONE Tomorrow or Monday to see if we can reserve a table for 10 TO 15 people.

Findely did not look good, u have to finish the plays

thats the difference between advancing to the next round and going home

if its u and the keeper alone u have to score

if its a 2 on one and u pass to the next guy lead him to the goal dont kick the ball to where he's at and then he losses his stride

I dont follow soccer so sorry if this is a stupid question but why doesnt MLS suspend play during the world cup like the NHL does for the olympics seeing as how the teams are without their best players?

MLS takes a two week break.


The way I see it, in the grand scheme of things the MLS only has a handful of players on the USMNT squad, while the NHL is THE league for hockey which has stars that are headliners for nations squads all over. The NHL suffers tons more under the same circumstances while the MLS doesn't.

And in this country, since soccer is so behind the other major sports, the public catches "soccer fever" and wants more of it, so it wouldn't make much sense for the league to shut down and not seize on the additional publicity and dollars.

watched the game on espn 3 last night and overall they looked good.

my beef is with findley.

he had so many opportunities and he didnt score even once. herculez came in for only ten minutes and he scored a goal

so i think eventough he has the speed to start up front with jozy, i still think he is a big risk to put up front.

jozy and buddle should be starting up front.

I missed the game against the socceroos but from what I read in today's newspaper and your guys comments, the consensus was Buddle, Findley and Gomez(allbeit 10 mins) played well.

Not sure if anyone has been watching espndeportes this morning or GOLTV but they've been showing friendly matches from months ago i.e. Argentina v Spain and all the recently played friendlies.

^he won't be but I don't understand where this dislike for Findley comes from. yea he hasn't exactly proven to be a clinical finisher the last few games but his speed and 1v1 ability make up for it. he's a smart player and knows what to do with and without the ball. he's definitely an asset off the bench.
