~| the DOM. KENNEDY thread |~

imo you have to listen to the album a couple times. it sounded better especially Alhambra and Fried Lobster

Yall right Dom did get lazy with this one. for the entire 36 mins damn man I can listen to the entire album in the whip to and from work.

its smooth nonetheless but damn this the type of album to put your kids to sleep to.

Lock this thread up b

Can you get a refund on iTunes?

Edit: Nah but on the real wtf Dom. I tried to play it in the whip and this is still sounding kinda weak. GHS was already a step back from the Yellow Album but I still copped it and forced myself to listen to it, eventually it kinda grew on me

This is gonna be a harder thing to do with only 11 tracks tho. You telling me out of all the tracks he made this was the best 11?

Was gonna listen but sounds like this was a failure album, rather just bump his old projects and act like this album never happen, Dom still can't do no wrong in my books if I go that route :pimp:

The first thing I played this on was actual speakers, so the car thing does nothing for me. I keep playing it tho Tryna like it more but eh.

I heard only new dom fans don't like this so I must be new.

Either that or everyone's saying people don't understand what his music is for/trying to do

Well I do, and he perfected that sound on the yellow album so I don't think that argument works either because I CERNTAINLY understanding and not looking for anything new or mind blowing. He just got lazy with his own style/lane.

The beats on this really gave it the potential to be his best album too. Production wise he nailed it.

Kinda stopped checking for Dom when he started slow rapping instead of flowing. Was gonna check this out but I think I'll check out the yellow album first.

It's okay.

But he ODing on that "talking" flow. Where instead of coming up with a punchline or something to finish the rhyme, he just say some random **** like he's just having a conversation and not in an actual song.

Also that Lemonade chorus is cringe worthy.

Hope he sees the lukewarm feedback and consciously tries to make quality on the next joint.

Coming from someone who's heard and liked everything from 25th until GHS. Was only lukewarm on Best After Bobby before this.

A lot of people are unhappy w/ this joint.

I feel it's kinda mediocre myself :\, I know Dom got that heat, I'm hoping he's saving it for another project or something.

Yeah hopefully this was just something to put out because people look at him as a "summer rapper" and he coming again this fall.

the most interesting thing about the album is like someone said above... These were the 11 best songs he made???

thats crazy to me. This is like a engineer found some dom tracks randomly and thru something together.

Like many have said. Album isn't [emoji]128686[/emoji] but it isn't the Dom I expected. 11 songs!? This not even better than get home safely. To me that was his worst album(I liked it but it was just meh overall) out of his projects. FTWSWL2, Yellow Album was flames, original Dom Kennedy flames, FTWSWL flames. I purchased the album off the strength, and I'm definitely disappointed.

Like no lie Ima crazy Dom fan. By far my favorite rapper out, and Im beyond disappointed. "fried lobster", "My first reply", and "Nobody Else" is all I could rock with.

Man I knew after "Posted" and "Represent" actually made the album that it was gonna be sub par, but not like this....oh well.

But I'm witcha you cause you probably goin through it anyway
But anyhow when in doubt went on out and bought it
Cause I thought it would be jammin but examine all the flawsky-wawsky
Awfully, it's sad and it's costly, but that's all she wrote
And I hope I never have to float in that boat
Up **** creek it's weak is the last quote

damn man...i just kopped.

shouldve checked NT first.

wasnt gonna check this til I move to nyc to :smokin loud

gotta check this joint out now...

@ Lemonade hook

on second thought... I'm not gonna rush this.

Only listened to the 3 singles and lemonade. Beats are crazy.

minimal effort on this one but imo he's BEEN BS'n.

dom been on a steady decline. crazy that this is what he's evolved into. his early efforts were so promising.

done DL'n dude off break. ill youtube a couple tracks off his next joint before hand and if its as weak as this, imma chill altogether.

No offense but 12 bucks for 36 min of music is whack.

All his features been fire on other songs... I'm not sure what happened here. I think this will be a hard album to tour to
