OFFICIAL NIKE AIR COMMAND FORCE PUMP & 180 PUMP RETRO THREAD (**NEW ACTUAL PIC ON PG 1)

True.........he was also WAY ahead of the Jordan XI hype train, when he wore the Concords on the Tonight Show, a week or two before release, I believe.

Got my pair today and I LOVE them, wish the toe box was a little wider tho for my pinky toe but I'm sure they will stretch for the tiny space that I need. That pssssss sound is so nice and I'm very happy with my purchase. Debating on the Spurs CW.

If I could get a pair for $140.00 0r less I just might cop.

Is it too early for a price drop.

Btw what was the price of these back on the day

Man, really thinkin about exchanging my defective pair with a non pumping right shoe, for a pair that works. I know I am probably gonna go through the stores pairs till I find a good pair. But then, I know im not gonna pump them anyway! What to do? $200, these damn things should work. Thoughts?

I have pumped mine up but won't do it on the regular. But I am paying for a fully functional shoe, at any price. I would like the shoes to be 100% as Nike intended them. I would try it if not a huge hassle at your local spot.

It depends on how well they are selling. If people are still buying exclusions wont be quick. If people hold off exclusions cone off fast.

Kind of hard to get everyone to hold off for the better of the consumer tho

Nothing concrete though. Ads say $130 while others swear by $175.

Somebody posted an OG catalog scan about 2 pages ago. They were $130. I'm still not sure where the $175/$200 talk came from. I think everybody is confusing the Commands and 180s with the Pressures which WERE $200.

Peace,
J

Repped for the dope pics. I dunno about "the king" though......Will Smith busted out some heat on FP

Will smith doesnt hold a candle to a different world. Kadeem hardison and daryll bell were doing it way before fresh prince was on the air.

If you look back at a different world they rocked every color of the iv, v, and vi.

Ron johnson was even rocking the maroon vi in one episode

Sinbad in his medicine balls and reebok pumps.

Too much man. Too much.

One thing i found funny in one episode was sinbad was rocking a jordan flight windbreaker jacket and pants but had on the twilight zone pumps

Also ron and dwayne would wear the same damn kicks in some episodes  matching grape v's, black cement iv, and black silvers v's.

Right on... The "Rushmore" (I know the term is cheesy and overused) of 90's kicks:

Kadeem
Will
Martin
Seinfeld

They all had their own unique styles as well with how they wore them. Respect. :smokin

I like the Command Force, but I prefer these.......so I'm still waiting and hoping:

Like the command force better but, I agree these are the next one on my bucket list for sure...hopefully they are already working on it on campus...probably way more simple to make than CF too...those soles are already being produced for flight 89's so half their work is done...

How much did the Nike Air 180 High cost?

I remember them being hella expensive because they have the Air 180 and the double valve pump

The 180s were $140-$145 depending on the store. And remember, at that point Jordans were $125 and that was considered top shelf ridiculous by most.

Peace,

I remember the prices back then. Definitely above $160! Back then, Jordan ruled when it came to shoes, everything else people got was..... because they couldn't have or afford Jordans. So, for a nike non Jordan shoe to be even more expensive than a Jordan...... and it was David Robinson. ...... on the Spurs. ........ That price stuck out like a sore thumb. There was always one cat that actually had these, but that price was way too steep to catch on and become a nike norm.

I can see where the dude is coming from with the 1's, these days every kid knows every Jordan even the ones born in 2000 but none of them know who Billy Hoyle and they think the Air Tech challenges are knock off Yeezy 2s. Jordan 1s are now a huge hypebeast shoe now since Kanye threw em on with that Supreme field pullover so now you have stuff like this

Now I know there are some genuine 1 fans but the high prices and sell outs are from young kids trying to fit in with what they see.

and retro of the decade? ...that's 10 years. Is that purely from a "they haven't been retroed yet" point of view?

I say this all the time. The only time shoes sell out fast crazy is because the younger crowd is beasting for them.
Or resellers think they can make a quick buck.

They weren't $160. I promise. I was in high school when the 180s came out, buying shoes with money I saved from dj'ing.

Did stores back then raise the prices?

I remember my best friend saying his brother paid like $150 for some Jordan's in like the early 1990s

It also seemed like a lot more places sold Nike signature models leading to different markups

Maybe that explains why people remember the price differently
