The assailants were so comfortable. I'd love for Nike to bring them back except this time make the midsole white all around the way they made it for Andre. The retail one was black in the back.



Bring back the Air Zoom Pounce as well in the black and lime too.



And some Air Zoom Challenge.

The Air Assailants were definitely one of my favs... Grail status.  I was fortune enough to repurchase those back in 2007.  Just realized that the photo I took of them back then is still floating around on the web! LOL.  Loved the uni-wrap design.

Spot-on regarding the outsole for Andre's PE's.  At first I thought it was for his indoor-tournament, but he also wore them at the US Open.  I love the look of both actually.

Doubt Nike will retro these, but who knows.

Such a shame that Andre was still in a bit of a slump at the time... 98-99ish.  Right on the rebound, but by then he was wearing the Zoom Beyonds.

I was also a fan of the Zoom Challenge, but again, it was during a time when his form dipped.
 
Do you still have your pair ds? I still have mine used but in relatively good condition. I was so mad that his was a pe. The only time that I can recall that happening was just when he wore different bottoms for Wimbledon.
 
No, not DS anymore. Worn both my pairs... white/black/blue & white/navy/silver.
 
There is a pair of Alarms on ebay that have been up there forever for 399. Nobody paying that. I even saw one pair that didn't sell for around 100.
 
^ Nah, not a reasonable price at all.  Alarms were never my fav, but still a cool/interesting-looking shoe.  

I liked the overall-fit though.  Andre even mixed it up with his socks black/white-white/black in matches.

 takes me back to freshman year. i know nike released them again over the years but without the agassi branding i believe
 
^ Almost. The initial 1994-release didn't have the Agassi "A".  It was just a circle-Swoosh logo on the tongue.  When Nike retroed them in 2000, they had the "A" on the tongue.  For the 2006 retro, they went back to the 1994 logo.  The 2000-retro also had a different outsole ~ used an all-herringbone pattern.

I still have some Air Flares but want them retroed again with the A. I really hope that they bring back that logo. It was awesome with him winning the 94 Open with the black socks and Air Flares.

I actually still have those shorts from that air alarm pic. I think they were from 6th grade tennis league. Had the alarms that went with them. Definitely not my favorites Agassi's but a classic nonetheless.

Told ya the swoosh would mess it up


I'll stick to the contemporary court ballistic's and vapors. I'm not going to get done in by the retro uncomfortable rage.

The OG Challenge Huarache had a sharper/narrower forefoot/toe area than the ATC 3.  By using the ATC 3 outsole, it looks like they've completely changed the shape vs the OG.  It appears they've also went with a pimple-lining on the Huarache which is odd. 

I guess that's why they called it the "Air Tech Challenge Huarache"... cuz of the ATC 3 outsole.  I dunno if this is a shoddy attempt at a hybrid or a shoddy attempt at a retro.

I saw this on TW-EU, but it's probably not Fed's.  

Dimitrov, Berdych, etc will probably wear these.

Yeah I've seen those on eBay recently. Code is 488000-101.  Nice clean pair.  Interested to see how the total orange looks on Fed's pair.
