News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

When I was a kid I never thought that I would see so many good comic book movies. I was HYPED when the OG Batman came out with Michael Keaton and used to read Wizard and would imagine how the movies would turn out if their fantasy casting articles ever came true...

Now I live the Fanta Sea.

The CG scenes look so.....

Fake to me...

What I would expect on Xbox one.

Not a blockbuster.

Is post production finished? We're judging a movie's special effects by a trailer. Let's just wait and see.

I know them feels all too well, I guess that is why I'm more forgiving than the comic brats of today who nitpick @ absolutely everything....back then all we could do is use our imagination, me and my boys would collect cards together, sit around and discuss what actors would play which superhero and such and just wish....now I'm like a kid in Disneyland...even if the movie sucks a'la GL I still get to see my childhood wishes come to life....

We nailed Patrick Stewart as Xavier tho...lol...back then we thought Mel Gibson would be great as Logan.

If the movies are bad then people can nitpick away. Changes are to be expected when transferring source material to the big screen. When they make changes for no logical reason and the movies turn into steaming piles of feces like iron man 3, fans can be as angry as they want. I'm about to watch the unrated version of wolverine in a few minutes, hope I don't have the same expression as the jaguars fan gif at the end.

I mean we got dudes crying about the CGI of the ASM2's second trailer....joint looks fine to me...lol

Has anybody seen the Iron Man & Hulk animated flick? Looks so crappy. The hell happened to Marvel animation studios - they keep pumping out those stop motion bs flicks as well.

I was one of the first to complain about trying to downplay Iceman :smh:

Anyway does anyone know who would own the rights to Kang The Conqueror? Because I think The God Butcherer and Godbomb story arcs would be an amazing movie adaption

Spidey's suit >>>

Joint is too ill.
I prefer the darker one from the first comic. Dont see why they would reimagine the villains to come from a darker world then brighten up spideys suit. There are some character that should be in line with the comics, spidey is not one of them. Ill keep my personal feelings about peter in the comic book thread.

@ksteezy we are not going to reduce our standards simply cuz its a comic movie. It should adhere to the same standards as any film. Books translated into movies are not judged by a lower standard. That would be disrespectful to the source material.

I prefer this suit mainly because of the enlarged bug eyes. Maybe this suit is brighter to contrast the dark villains, like light = good while dark = bad. idk color isnt that big of a deal to me as long as they stick close to the OG traditional red & blue.

One thing that irks me is why they have to put the goblin in a "iron man type" suit, like why cant they have Osbourn literally transform into a hideous, menacing goblin. Like at least give him the hooded cloak. Its just the trailer though so i'll wait and see.

Kinda feel like Singer blew his load with this announcement. Sucha random and nonchalant way of announcing the project (twitter?). They should be focusing on marketing Days of Future past and not looking ahead already. This woulda been a perfect thing for them to do at Comic Con.

DofP comes out May of next year so it is a month or two before SDCC, which is usually in July.

The Apocalypse announcement is likely a tool to hype up the movie further, those who may have lost interest in the series might be drawn in simply to see how Apocalypse will fit in the next film.

It's definitely looks like a marketing ploy.

Calling it now Nathan Jones should get the role.

I always thought it was a role perfect for dude who played kingpin in daredevil. (god rest his sould)

EDIT: Michael Clark Duncan

Even in modern day comics there is no true black and white distinctions of good and evil except in Cap and Supes. That light = all that is good and dark = all that is bad is played out. This brighter suit does not fit his personality and I think that is much more important. I have no preference when it comes to the eyes

Also Now that we know the Osbornes are going to be a huge part of the film, Rhino just seems redundant. They couldnt find any good shots to use in the trailer except him armoring up? I have already given my views on cluttered superhero movies. It doesnt work. It is better to save some characters for later (if they should be used at all) than to short him in one film

Alright. Just making sure cuz I would've assumed Fox had the right to the skrulls but Disney still does.

Also I would like to see modern day Namor as part of the avenger. I doubt universal will ever use him so its stuck there forever.

Marvel.com brought you the first news of the historic team-up between Marvel Television and Netflix, and now we’re proud to officially announce that award-winning writer/director Drew Goddard ("Buffy The Vampire Slayer," "Lost," "Cloverfield," "Cabin in the Woods," "World War Z") will join Marvel’s "Daredevil"! Goddard will write and direct the "Daredevil" first episode, setting the tone and look for the show, while also serving as series Showrunner and Executive Producer for the 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015.

I remember reading about an Inhumans film. Any word on where they are at with that?

Nah they were just breaking down movies we may see in the future. If guardians is succesful we will definitely see an Inhumans movie. The inhumanity event and the rise of all these new inhumans is proof. Just how Thanos is being teased in the comics now
