News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Booster Gold is a movie where you get someone unknown really, I mean I've been looking at Chris Pratts work lately and dude fits the bill as one of those not exactly known but has a following, he is talented enough, charming enough and funny enough for those kind of films and will likely get paid $500k or less per film.

Garfiled got paid $500k for ASM, Evans and Hemsworth got $200k-$500k in their first showing as Cap and Thor so it isn't farfetch to get talent for cheap out there. It's going to fall to casting and script plus a competent enough of a director, which you can say DC doesn't have a good track record off. Hopefully the new CEO has a better handle on the new projects to make it work better in comparison to the past.

I think Booster Gold needs to steer clear of that entire Ryan Reynolds, Channing Tatum, etc., region.

It's a character that someone could make their own or be a launching pad for an up-and-comer. It should be someone charismatic who can make you dislike them, then become endearing and have the audience get behind them.

They were taking a huge risk. That was then, this is now.

I bet Chris Pratt made above 500k on Guardians
 
Not sure what you are disagreeing with? What was then and what is now?

GotG is also a risk, almost everyone in Marvel and all critics are saying it is the biggest risk in all of their line-up.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pratt gets paid $500k or less, less than a mil for sure. This an ensemble film in which they also have to pay for Zaldana, Gillan, Pace, Close, Del Toro, Batista, Rooker, Reilly, along with Cooper and Diesel. Most likely got paid less than a mil though (even less for voice acting but it still adds up) and some making it up with multi-film deals (Del Toro) but you also have to remember that Marvel weren't looking to pay these guys much and initial reports on why Momoa rejected the role was due to the pay being too low and Batista, who will likely take any pay to be in a big budget movie, took his place.


Plus I think everyone would agree that outside of Batman and Superman (hell you can probably add Superman to the add list) everything DC does is a big risk at this point.

i did too but after the feedback from the screened footage I have a little more faith..

People say he finds a nice balance

i WAS gonna type out about how its not really a mask, more of a helmet........

but um.......u make a good point lol. BlackW, Hawk, Nick, Colbie,PhilCoul,  are all humans who can be killed with head trauma, and they give negative zero dambs about helmets/head safety lol

watchin Xmen First Class.........

just noticed in the tunnel where they tryin to train Havoc how to aim, Beast grabs the mannequins boob

First Class is the only X-Men movie I liked. Would've loved it if they used actual mutants from this time and it was a reboot (the only reason I saw it in the first place)

But now Bryan Singer is back on the team. :smh:
