NT's LEGAL Gun Thread UPDATE...First Youtube Firearm Review Page 61

im about to get my glock 26 slide done in nickel boron and then add a manual trigger safety to it. im sorry, i just dont feel comfortable with my glock having no safety. miss me with the "thats the point of a glock" talk tho. i know, i understand, i still dont care.

Lol trade it man. U really are changing what it makes it a glock tho. Id jus swap for an xdm/m&p before putting that kinda money into it.

Ergonomically i like the M&P line the best... eventually ill get one

And dude who said the 40 felt snappier is right. Much greater velocity on a smaller rd will have that snap as most .40s do... the .45 is more of a push bwith the big fat slow rds and supersonic boom. I wouldnt wanna carry either in a super small frame but would much prefer .45

something about the M&P i didnt like... thats why i went with my xdm.. looks just like the one up there minus the laser

But there is a safety on a Glock...

I have 200 rounds thru my new XDm 9mm and I couldn't have made a better purchase. Shot it outdoors for the first time 2 weeks ago. Loved it, can't wait to get back to the range too. Outdoorsuperstore.com had the 9mm for $539 shipped. And while there will be a ffl transfer fee, you won't pay tax coppin online too.

lmao word. the safety and engage switch are the exact same thing. theres no safety in that at all.

im just gonna add a lil safety to the trigger for $40. im not gonna cut into the frame like some dudes, that ish is overkill. and i like the xdm but i LOVE my glocks.
you nailed it. thats the exact thing im going for. nice and quick, unobtrusive, peace of mind. AND ill get the button itself coated in nickel boron as well.

Thats pretty cool let me know how it comes out I want one too

While I would have been comfortable with a Glock, one reason I went with the Springfield XD-9 was it had a grip safety.. which I really liked.

lol, was gonna say the same thing.

honestly, I get it though. when i had a g22, i carried without one in the chamber. then i got a bit more comfortable with pistols, and now couldn't imagine carrying a pistol without a round chambered.

Tek- have you ever thought about selling the g26 and getting an m&p9c? Pretty sure they made/make some models with a manual frame safety (similar to a 1911 safety). I'd stay away from buggering with the trigger safety system if it were me, you never know what it might do (or not do when you need it to!)

my XDm 9mm.

put the Pierce grip on it and added a red vinyl 'm' to the XDm.

700

nope. i LOVE my glocks. but the m&p series dont do it for me. the siderlock is the exact same as the safety my paintball guns used to have when i was younger. its just a cross block. however, its a MANUAL crossblock. whereas the general gun world says your finger is the safety, whenever theres a ND or AD...that theory didnt work. me pulling my gun out and clicking off that safety would add a couple milliseconds to the process. but id have peace of mind knowing i wont reach for my gun and have it go off before im ready

Lol. Sold my glock today for 425, hopefully pickin up a shield for 325 this weekend to replace it. And hopefully finally a new 1911 for my.bday n may or with tax $$

Met this DOD guy at the state police barracks to do the transfer. As usual the cop knew the least about guns haha dude was amazedddd by the crimson trace bein pressure sensitive then he asked if my 19 (it was a 17) was a .45 as he lookes at the barell! He was tickled to death he knew it was manufactured in Austria tho lol

I want a 19 now too at some point

Put a coin on top of the barrell.

Pull trigger.

Repeat until you can do it and not move the coin.

Or.

Buy a laser.

Or.

Spend hundreds on practice rds.

Prob gunna hafta do two of the three at least if u actually wanna be a good shot.

props. got my laser (Streamlight TLR 4) after returning for the range yesterday from UPS :smh:
Will definitely be doing all three

Just purchased a Para Elite commander 1911. I get to pick it up on Friday after RI's 7 day wait period. Now on the hunt for a good IWB holster.
