Most states the age for long guns is 18, and its 21 for Shotguns with just a pistol grip and no stock.  But 12 ga is the most common shotguns shell around.  Shouldn't be too hard to get ammo.

Anybody shoot 300aac? Im wondering should i get short barrel 556 nato or 300aac, i know 300aac is better but in the long run and when shtf what are yall going with?

Thinking about building my own AR. I wanna keep it short barreled for home defense and better mobility at the range but that $200 ATF stamp is making me reconsider. :rolleyes

pistol lower my friend, that's the way to go

Man if you go ar pistol, get slanted foregrip it's accuracy will go through the roof if you dont shoot too bad of a round, and what type of round you plan on shooting?
Also check out Sig Sauer's "Arm Brace" if we're talking AR pistol.  I don't see how the ATF let that slide.  You can shoulder the damn thing.

$200 tax stamp ain't bad to be able to own those items, the wait is the only problem. I saw one of those Sig braces at the range and they can be "used" but god they're ugly compared to an SBR with an actual stock, putting the AR pistol buffer against your shoulder and using it as a cheek weld works fine and as someone said the Magpul AFG grip does help.

I'll give it a look, thanks

then you should be good shooting 556, ammo is wayyyy cheaper than 300blk , good luck on your mission to building your sbr.

Only way I'd get a .300 blk is if i reloaded for it. Range ammo hitting for $.80 cpr.

Shot a KSTG match last week, had a good time. Of course, I left my change of clothes at home so i was rocking the cole haan lunars, khakis, and a button down. Shot well, but scored poorly due to procedural errors in the firs stage, did well the second and third stages, and classified as a C chooter. Should be able to bump that classification to B later on this month, I was using a mag pouch (I never use pouches) and clothing limited my range of motion.

yea i would never shoot 300 blk until a reasonable price drop

Also, made a couple of deals this weekend. Traded my m&p c.o.r.e plus $150 for this.

It's got the LEM trigger, so I tried to get used to it sunday. Shot about 150 rounds, 100 of them coated lead bullet reloads. POI is about 2-3" left at 15 yds, and I can't figure out the hold. Needd to get a holster, a couple more mags, and new sights ASAP!

Went to an outdoor range at a state park the past 2 weekends. People do not follow the range rules very well. Should I be the guy that says something? I just feel a little funny correcting older and/or more experienced shooters, but youd think they should know better.

No free standing shooting - several people were doing it
No handling firearms while people are down range - again, several people handling them for a few seconds at a time
No pistols at rifle range - guy was shooting from a rest

Thats the gift and the curse, ranges with no range/safety officers.

Unless it's a safety issue (i.e. I see them pointing guns downrange when others are down range) or it affects me personally, I tend to avoid others.

Thinkin bout selling/trading my 7mm sendero and picking up another .308 or maybe another handgun. Not really sure what I want though. Maybe a DE in .44 mag?

Im back.. wifey took me out timeout hahaha

We were at ***** getting some new bass rods n reels one of which she was buyin me as a gift... When low and behold I see Federal is now offering aluminum cased .45... 15 bucks per 50... Needless to say i snatched up some boxes. Now to see if the sub 2k likes it. Dont think ill subject the 1911 to cheap ammo but 15 bucks for 45?!?! IN.

Will report back as to how it cycles

I've fired some blazer aluminum out my Colt xse and Springfield range officer without any issue cycling/feeding from the mag. I hold federal to a higher standard, so I think you should be money. $15 ain't a bad price. Picked up a box of 500 (blazer brass) from a show for about $12/50 rds been shooting those for dayssssss :smokin
