NT's LEGAL Gun Thread UPDATE...First Youtube Firearm Review Page 61

nice pick up... i picked it up in .45 a few months ago. Love it!!
You guys like how the XD compares to Glock sub compacts? The only thing that turned me off about that gun were the extra parts and 1911 style safety.... More room for error if you ask me, but i have never shot it.. to each his own

yes! the mod2 replaced my glock 19 as my every day carry.

Shoots great and feels awesome. I would say give the mod2 and the xds a try. My boy had the xds which i shot on a few different occasions. IMO, because its so small it didn't really feel good. However the mod2 is a double stack so it had a little extra weight which balances out the power of the .45

I'll deff give it a shot in the near future.. I've tried to switch it up a few times but I can't seem to get rid of my glock 30

I do, personally.
it's all a matter of preference really, though.

yup, I copped an XDm a couple years ago and loved it so I grabbed the 9mm Xd mod2 subcompact now to carry.

guys does it really make a world of a difference carrying double stack vs single stack? i wanna get the m&p9c but held the xds and shield and those things feel like they would disappear

on a side note: shot my 226 for the first time and it is amazing and accurate was getting 3" groupings at 10 yards the second mag around.....well worth the mula

I prefer the feel of the Springfield over Glocks. The grip felt more natural in my hand on Springfields so that's why I went with that. Plus I did like the extra safety features, especially as a first time gun owner. The chamber indicator and striker indicator along with the grip safety gave me extra piece of mind and the grip safety has never been a problem when shooting.. you don't even notice it.

Single vs double stack is just about comfort and ease of carrying. A single stack gun would be thinner and might be more comfortable when carrying, but the trade off is, of course, it will feel different in your hand and you'll have less rounds. The XDS is oddly heavy for a single stack subcompact though from what I recall, so that might factor in too.

i think this depends on the situation. When concealment is a factor, the added thickness of the double stack might not be what you are looking for. I personally have a double stacked car gun while my concealed carry weapon is a single stack. The weather doesn't permit heavy clothing where I'm at right now either, so the smaller the better when it comes to carry

Scar 17S.....want. That price tag though

You ever shot one before? Holy **** i never had such a bad day shooting in my life. The gun operated perfectly but i left the range with gunpowder residue all over my face and a migraine. Its like the blowback goes right to your eyes. That idiotic release system destroyed that gun to me and its so damn loud. Louder than any in its class by a long shot.  plus it wasn't even the scar heavy.. it was the 223 version. I'd go hk mr556 over that all day even though its heavier.. You can shoot that thing under water man its crazy. Check out the video,  its the 416 tho, the 10 inch barrel fully auto version of the exact same gun.

Yup i wouldnt advise anyone buyinfg the civilian SCAR or a supressor for an AR... its not like the movies hhaha even a 9mm glock silenced isnt like the movies.

The only gun you can truly silence to a level of relative effectiveness is .22

Thats why US and British special forces use silenced 22s for stealth missions. Hush puppies.

Wow man, that sounds horrible. I'd only get the .308 version if I did take that leap. I've read some pretty middle of the pack reviews on the 223/556 version but the heavy seems to get nothing but praise. I've been trying to plan a weekend to rent one at a range I go to so I can see what it's like.
Picked it up yesterday

I saw video of a 12 gauge with a silencerco joint on there and it was very quiet

:pimp: only like the second kimber ive seen here ever. Get some sick gips.

As far as a 12 gauge being quiet i would think the shell moves too much air for that really to be the case. I mean yea it is reallllly quiet compared to an unsilenced shotgun... but is it quiet compared to... quiet haha

I have a Shield for concealed carry. I would suggest that or another single stack if it's going to be for carry. If it's larger you might be less likely to carry it or be more self conscious about printing. For home defense you might want to get something a little bigger with more rounds. A lot of people conceal carry double stacked compacts so it's possible. It's what you're comfortable with.

does anybody in here wear a gun belt on the daily?

Not sure whta you mean by gun belt, but i wear a Wilderness Instructer 5 stitch with the plastic insert. The belt is stiff as hell, and keeps the gun properly positioned as long as it's tight. It's well worth the money that I paid for it.

Been using it for about 3 yrs now. It's well worth the money. It's a little too 'tactical' if you're planning on tucking in your shirts, but I almost never tuck my shirts in, so it doesn't matter for me.

Yeah a stiff belt...I've seen them referred to as gun belt but I think they are just stiff belts...I look into the stiff belts because my off the rack belt has no support.

oh ok, i just didn't know if you meant a 'battle belt' (one with holster, mag carriers, first aid kit attached that snap on over your pants) or just a regular old belt good for holding a gun up.

The wilderness belt has worked very well for me. I'm fat so i got the plastic insert, but the 5 stitch would probably work as well.

Not true bro. Me and my bro were just in the woods hunting the other day and he tried out his new suppressor on his 300 black. He was running some subsonic rounds by g2 research and it was quiet as a whistle! No joke, the only thing you could hear was the bolt moving and the faint whine of the buck as it hit the ground. I just ordered a can for my 12 gauge too. Hopefully it's just as quiet.
