🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Scary Hours 3 11.17.23

But you have to buy tickets separately and it's in a different venue, so it doesn't really seem truly part of OVO Fest. Either way, if I can get tickets then I'll try to make the trip.

Ahh
I just checked and only 2 day packages are available. I'm glad cause I didn't really want to shell out money for a 3 day event.

Drake probably aint touring again until after VFT6 drop huh?

He will do a full arena tour. 'Would you like a Tour' was so successful he's established himself as a full arena tour artist. He's the only rapper other than Ye Jay Z and Eminem who can do the biggest venues non stop.

Cole is headlining Staples and Madison Square Garden. I think it's safe to he's established himself as well.

FHD tour are mostly amphitheater and huge theaters. I give him credit for having 2 staple center shows in a row and selling out the garden tho.

FHD tour has huge openers as well I think Sean and YG will be with him too. Would You Like a Tour were all arena stops and had sold shows out in Europe.

Would Drake ever do small venues again? like to be closer with fans? or just arenas for life? lol

The closest he came was the Drake vs Wayne tour but they still did huge amphitheaters

If you can consistently sell out the biggest in the world there really is no reason to perform in smaller venues. Way too much money left on the table if he went that route.

I listened to this NWTS and IYRTITL in full the other day and man I miss the non-Migos Drake. NWTS was a whole album of straight heat.

anyone get tired of this last mixtape of his pretty quickly?

really have no urge to listen to it anymore....the heat he dropped all of 2014 had more longevity than this album to me...

or maybe im just outgrowing this dude (pause)....

I feel what you saying

But I still enjoy it, it just sounds monotone to me now, aside from like 5-6 songs, I'll skip some songs...my top joints on there are:

Know Yourself
Energy
Madonna
6PM in NY
No Tellin'
Jungle
6 Man

I did not mess with Company, You & The 6 (I know, I know), Wednesday Night Interlude

This tape is aging gracefully. I know more people who were kinda meh at first but ended up feeling the entire project.

It's got a good mix of straight bangers and introspective records. Only difference is it doesn't have the cohesive feel as NWTS or his former albums but it's a mix tape remember. Drake was just on scrimmage tip on this record and he still killed it. I agree something about his previous albums sounds more put together in a way that IYRTITL doesn't. He sounds like some other MC's in the game on here where as he definitely sounded more unique on his other albums.

You and the 6
6 PM in New York (sounds just like Paris Morton Music pt 2)
Jungle

Those are type of records you will find on his previous albums. The tape is still good but it's not better than anything in his previous discography.

Ginfante out here sleeping on one of the best records on the tape :smh:
