Not a direct diss but everyone know who's he referencing
That unnamed person is gonna react and come off looking even more hurt, set ups like this have been going on forever. Drake is playing this dude by being 2 steps ahead.
Drake mentioning meek, does more for meek than meek mentioning drake does for draje
As far as naming names, drake has an ongoing professional relationship with Nicki so he might be holding back because of her. I can see that as a reason he didn't mention her...

*waits for meek to reply sounding like he got popped by grease while Cooking
#meekmillraplike
When the meekmillraplike thing was gon on Worldstar, I was dying. It may have been on here as well

"Meek Mill rap like he ate the bones"

He pretty much said it in 6pm in Ny

Maybe we should help somebody or be somebody
Instead of being somebody that makes the news so everyone can tweet about it
And then they start to RIP about it
And four weeks later no one even speaks on it
I just had to say my piece about it
Damn...........son said that :smokin :smokin

Drake's got past diss records tht were brutal so i'm almost sure that Charged Up is just a warning shot.

Personally one of my favorite cuts from Drake & 40. Sounds like a leftover Take Care track but hopefully this get placed on VFT6 . Spoke the truth on this [emoji]128293[/emoji][emoji]128293[/emoji][emoji]128293[/emoji]. Who Am I Gonna Be? When It's All Over....HEAT OF THE MOMENT....You can't help to just be caught in the moment in this life sometimes and go with the flow. Anywho s/o NT OVO fam....bless

smh, nobody is offended, just stating some real ish... crazy how many people respect this BS, but most of yall probably grow up on drake so... its expected

Pretty much. Drake never raps about anything of real substance and the one time he talks about some real world **** it's like "leave me alone, cops are killing people". Like what? Now you talking about black issues lol. I know it caught me off guard. Dude never raps or speaks on anything like that.

That's all people are saying.

Yeah that really stood out to me when I first heard the song..
More so than the diss..I'm like wait...you using this to now speak on black violence..

Lol so many things going on in the feedback to this...I gather some folks arent really a fan of having strategy or they are completely oblivious...

Drake is setting Meek up.... regardless if you think the diss was weak or if it was a sneak diss, or if you are upset he didnt say his name for whatever reason.

inserting social commentary into the diss is interesting... In the grand scheme of things he is right, and i will give him a lil credit because he mentioned it previously but it seems to be met with mixed emotions

I think its actually selfish as a listener to be like "no dont talk about social issues cuz you dont ever talk about social issues".... like what type of logic is that? you gotta ask yourself if you are helping or hurting the situation with that line of thinking.

so only bring the issue up when it can be used to his benefit? i mean these social issues has been on rise the last few years, like every month now it seems to be something, but when a rapper questions your authenticity, along a reference track to add maybe some truth to that claim, thats the time to bring it up serious issue and it be genuine? IDK my logic is different i guess. Just cant respect it.

The vast majority of rap songs about loving women are awful. These are no exception.

Jeeez who hurt you
Someone had to hurt me for me to think that a guy who raps about drugs money and killing all his haters would turn around and start going to candlelit dinners and all that?

No. Rap songs about loving women are usually disingenuous and bad.

Only a few can do it well and he is not one of them

I actually kinda agree with this  I personally think Twista does these types of songs better than anybody without sounding like a sappy cornball.

Reading this in Drake's voice is too damn funny

Reading through this and the Meek thread. Why are people considering this a beef?

This was pretty weak if you used to NAS, Eminem, 50 or something where they aren't doing that rap/r&B flow or just in turns of going for your head with some hail makers ... But if you listen closely dude went in ...

Basically started off by calling him a charity case.

Was doing him a favor as he don't need that FT. Money

Probably because he is having a hard time going gold and turning into someone that nobody knows

Talking about how he saw Nicki and was start struck and she's telling him to get his bars up.

Subliminally said that Drake was Meek's idol ...

Etc etc etc ...

Pretty lazy going in, but with a few lines that probably hit Meek hard.

Drake just paid a ton of respect to Rappin' 4-Tay -- in the form of cold, hard cash -- to settle a beef in which 4-Tay claimed Drizzy jacked his rhymes.

4-Tay first put Drake on blast when YG's hit "Who Do You Love" came out. Drake drops lyrics on the song that are clearly ripped straight from 4-Tay's 1994 hit "Playaz Club."

4-Tay was offended Drake didn't give him credit on the song. No lawsuit was ever filed, but sources close to the situation tell us a very lucrative agreement was reached.

4-Tay's manager tells TMZ ... Drake's record label agreed to pay 4-Tay $100,000 for "borrowing" the lines.
Not shockingly ... 4-Tay tells us he's no longer offended
