🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Scary Hours 3 11.17.23

I didn't listen to So Far Gone yesterday, but 40's commentary up there was dope so I'm on track 3 now without realizing it

Best I ever Had="I thought it was kind of corny"

^^^^^^and not in a good way, you should stuck with your gut Drizzy. Top two worst song he ever made.

You know what's crazy? While I disagree with your opinion on Best I Ever Had, I can imagine Drake's feelings towards that record were the same as yours, despite how successful it was.

This is the same guy who put Brand New out anonymously, Hated Best I ever had because of how corny and soft it was, he didn't want to put Marvin's Room on the album because he thought it was too soft, he didn't want to put Connect on the album because he thought it was too soft, so yeah he's constantly fighting that battle it seems. He's so cautious of how he's perceived and I know that soft, and corny perception bothers him which is why he tries so hard to not have those records on the album.

One of his most successful though and his first radio hit
That doenst change how bad it was.

You're not the target audience, women still love it.
But he makes plenty of songs directed at women that are fire. Connect, Marvins Room, From Time, Etc etc etc. That song just sucks.

The craazy is that those end up beign some of the best records. If he would have left Connect off that would have been a damn shame.

This conversation won't go anywhere. At the end of the day, you just don't like "Best I Ever Had", but that doesn't mean that it sucks or that him not releasing it would have been anything short of moronic on his part considering what it did for his career.

I will say that it was definitely the weakest female-related song on So Far Gone in my opinion too though. "A Night Off" is too :pimp: Had a young __ treating these garden tools like they weren't garden tools during sex.

Listening to take care now, very solid album now that I think about it. 2 and a half years later and I still vibe to most of the songs. No clear cut bangers on here, but a lot of quality cuts that are standing the test of time. The album has a more "full" or "robust" feel than take care. Although TC had a few bangers. It also had tons of duds that I just rock with.

Verdicts still out about nothing was the same.

Which day do tickets actually go on sale for OVOfest?
OVO blog says Friday, ticketmaster says Saturday.

Whats the difference between two day and one day tickets? (other than it only being one day or two days).
I think last year, reserved seating was only two days. Lawns were only one day if available. Something along those lines. Missed out every year for something (wedding, etc). Been waiting a long time for this lol.

I completely forgot to post that. I encourage people to give it a watch, it's a fantastic interview with some real insight. Damn near made me want to start producing
