All depends on how soon your next upgrade is

August 2014 my dude. Yes I have the ugliest upgrade schedule ever especially now since Verizon has done away with early upgrade. So basically my upgrade comes around the S5 and the Note IV. As much as I love Verizon's coverage, their plans and policies SUCK!! Also I hate CDMA because you have to call Verizon each time you change a phone to give them the new ESN...GSM with Sim cards is such the better concept.

I might have to cop that Nexus 5, it'll be the first time I upgrade my phone early. Kinda tired of my GS3

This might be a stupid question but...

I downloaded a zip file of a CD on my phone. I unzipped it and I see it in file manager. If I click on a song it will play on that little cheesy popup song player that stops if you click anywhere off the screen or turn your screen off.

My question is how do I find the songs in play music? Its not showing up in my library and I'm not seeing an option to send to play music in file manager. Thanks

Guess I'll be skipping 4.3 with 4.4 coming out in a month....3 month span between the two. Aint eem mad.

I'm not seeing a sync option in play, I do see a refresh option but that did nothing

I just got my HTC One off contract for Verizon and just popped in my SIM card from my note 2 and that was it. Didn't have to call them or anything.

IMO you might as well get yourself a newer phone. Seeing your upgrade isn't for a while you'll probably end up caving in anyways  at least I know I would. Plus a used S4 or HTC One will hold it's value better so when you do upgrade at least you'll be able to sell it and get something for it.

Dont know if you have the patience but you could buy an S4 or One with a cracked screen which sell much cheaper and fix it your self or take it to a shop to fix it. just buy the parts you need off ebay  they sell real cheap from china lol

I actually got an HTC One. Had an S3 from before and sold it for 300 and bought the One for 400 so I basically paid 100 out of pocket for the One.

Still have my Note 2 as well...I'll probably sell it and pay the difference for the note 3 once the price goes down a bit after release. From now on I just pay off contract prices and pay the difference by selling my old phones. Check your local craigslist for some good deals on new phones

Can't wait for that Nexus 5
New HTC One Max photos confirm screen size, chipset
The HTC One Max  is back in the spotlight with new photos and a benchmark. In the photos, the yet unannounced HTC phablet is sized up against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3  (perhaps its main rival) and the Note II.

HTC One Max • AnTuTu 4 score
AnTuTu 4
Higher is better

 • Samsung Galaxy Note III35180
 • LG G235125
 • Samsung I9505 Galaxy S427555
 • HTC One Max (rumored)26417
 • HTC One26238
 • Nexus 417006

The One Max looks bigger but not by much, considering it's rumored to have a 5.9" screen versus the 5.7" screen for the Note 3 (and there are the front-facing BoomSound speakers that add to the size). We measured the One Max's screen using the Note 3 screen as reference and our measurements confirm the rumored 5.9" diagonal.

HTC One Max size comparison with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Note II

Anyway, the device boasts 4G connectivity and has a removable back cover. The battery is sealed (rumored capacity is 3,300mAh) and there's a microSIM card slot – a single one (unless the thing opposite the slot is another slot?). Previous rumors pointed to a dual-SIM device, just like the Chinese version of the HTC One, which also has a removable back cover (unlike the international version).

HTC One Max has 4G connectivity • only one SIM slot is visible

As for the benchmark, it's AnTuTu 4 and the 2600 or so score confirms the Snapdragon 600 chipset (it's virtually the same score as the HTC One).

By the way, the HTC One Max is referred to as HTC 8088 in China and is scheduled for an October launch, according to rumors.

So the 5S crushed the One and S4 and I thing G2 in the ever so "important" benchmark tests.

Lol anyways, is kit Kat gonna be a visual change or just more backend stuff?

Why not just keep the note 2 and chill? Or do you prefer iOS?

I need you guys opinion ( I trust most of you alls opinion in here). I lost my GSIII (Verizon) Saturday night and I'm not eligible for an upgrade anytime soon. I will not pay full price for a new phone so that means I have to get a slightly older model to hold me down until either my upgrade, or until I give in and buy a new one.

Question is what is the oldest Android phone you could live with if you were in my situation? I was thinking the Razer M since I see it going new for around $150-ish on Ebay with a clean ESN. Remember this is not a question about the latest and greatest, but what is the least you could deal with now?
Just go ahead and drop that money on an HTC One Nupe.  With the tech head that you are, I know you wouldnt last long with a POS phone

.  Youd end up dropping 150 on Da Triumph and turning right around and getting something better a month later when you get tired of it.

No doubt Phi. I'm looking for good conditioned HTC Ones and S4s for sale as we speak. Good thing it will not count against my current upgrade date. Then I could just sell it and use the money for my upgrade. Thx for the advice and from saving me from picking up a sub par phone I'd hate after a few days.

goodluck on the otherside brah..and you're absolutely right you can easily sell the iPhone if you dislike it them joints hold their value

Aint eem gonna lie iOS 7 on the retina ipad is :smokinDefinitely a welcome refreshing change,

To the homie that's thinking about switching to the 5S...well you are your own man, but let me say this...it may be wise to wait for the iPhone 6. Apple is taking a beating on Wall Street for an overall lack of innovation lately and even loyal Apple fans are starting to defect. Apple is expected to respond with a totally new iPhone 6 and is rumored to have a bigger screen (possibly even 1080p).
