Elder it sounds like the note line was made specifically for folks like you brah.. The battery while solid on the N5 the note 2 will run circles around it  and using your stylus to sign stuff. I'd stick with the n2 if I were you and wait for the no4

Yeah my dude Carver...I mean I definitely recognize the greatness of the N5 but it comes down to functionality for me.

Champion the Note 3 is def better than the N2 but I think I'll wait for the Note 4 and just buy new batteries as mine goes bad. The advantage of removable batteries.

I'm living through you guys eyes so to speak as far as phones go. I got out of the early adopter game in 2012...I was so bad that I bought the OG Note on release day in Chicago less than two hours before my flight left to go home...almost missed my dam flight just so I could stunt on the plane ride home  :smh:

My new case for my Nexus 4 came in today. I loved the Ringke Fusion but i still felt like it was too big. So I copped a matte black Rinke Slim :pimp:

I was also having some problems uploading pics to the site last week. Hopefully that problem is gone.

^^ I am really just looking for a data plan.. I have the 30 buck 100 mnt unlimited text and lte up to five gbs now.. Did I misunderstood you have a added 20 dollar unlimited data to your existing phone plan?
only reason he pays that much is cause he's an employee I believe.

I'm currently using the T mobile $30 plan which includes 1,500 minutes/text. I forgot how much data is in this plan cause I barely use it since I'm always on wi-fi.

Anyway back on topic but is there a back order on the N5's or are they shipping out immediately?

The 16GB is currently shipping out 4-5 weeks after the order. The 32GB is shipping out 1-2 business days. For the matte white.

Both models for the matte black are shipping between Dec. 13th - 14th.

Depends on which one is best for you, I guess. I'm definitely looking forward to the Note 4... the 3 came out too soon for there to be a whole lot of functional improvement between the 2 and 3. Hopefully by the time production starts for the Note 4 they'll ramp up the processor. I just hope Samsung keeps producing phones with a removable back. The lack of expandable storage/removable back with the Nexus 5 is one of its biggest downfalls as a device, imo.

:pimp: @ the screen name.

Thanks for the info on the shipping dates...

Shimmy usually posts the latest Android news so I will not do so, but I just read the note 4 rumors...DAM if any of it is to be believe it's looking to be a monster of a device...My paycheck is ready in advance. Dang you technology...how am I to ever save enough for the FHA loan for a house  I'm gonna need an intervention.

The Nexus 5 can have battery life that is just as good as, if not better than, the G2. You just have to root it and flash a different kernel. On my N5 I'm running the Cataclysm ROM with Franco's kernel and can easily go a full day with HEAVY usage. If I leave my phone off the charger for the entire night it might go down 1 or 2% over 6-7 hours, depending on how long I sleep.

So far I'm loving this phone.

700

Yea i hear rooting and rom'ing will get that battery life. Looks like I may have too. I rooted my S4 and definitely had better performance than stock. Just like the fact that the G2 is like that out of the box.

What kind of Cases are we using for the N5?

I got the Cruzerlite Bug Circuit. White for the Black Model (I wanted the White Model, so I'm just trying to fake the funk

).

I have the $20 unlimited 4G lte plan.
I've used about 10 gbs and my coworkers use 20+ gbs a month since they don't have home Internet and they haven't been throttled. I've asked everybody and they've told me no throttling.

How can I get this $20 unlimited 4G LTE plan? Do you still get 100mins talk time and free text?

thegrandpuba26 thegrandpuba26 I'm rocking Spigen Slim Armor black case, very pleased.
Samsung Galaxy S5 benchmark reveals 2K screen
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is busy tending to its flagship duties for Samsung, the heir to the Galaxy S4 is making headlines steadily building up the hype.

The latest rumors concern its body and some of its specs. According to EMSOne, a Japanese-based website, ODM Catcher Technology  (Taiwan), BYD  (China) and Ju Teng  (Taiwan) has been assigned to make between 10 and 30 million unibody metal shells for the next high-grade Galaxy device. That could very well turn out to be the Galaxy S5.
gsmarena_003.jpg

This fits nicely with the leaked metal frame  we've seen before which was also said to be for the Galaxy S5.

Some rumors are hinting at a two-pronned approach by Samsung - producing a metal-clad flagship of a new F series along with an all-plastic S-series member.

And in other news a device, by the name of Samsung SM-G900S, has popped up on GFX Bench running on a highly-clocked Snapdragon 800 chipset and the Adreno 330 GPU. The clock is at most 2.46GHz. Sadly this isn't the Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420 GPU  nor is it the 64-bit Exynos chipwe're hoping to see sooner rather than later.

There's more, though - the SM-G900S sports a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 or 2K. And if the rumors of either a 5" or 5.2" screen turn out true we may be looking at an insane density of over 560 pixels per inch. As far as results go, the device in question rounded up 27.7 fps on the T-Rex 1080p Offscreen test - on which we've found the Galaxy Note 3 to be the best with 26 frames per second.

Other rumors suggest the Galaxy S5 will be launched (or at least shown) as early as Q1 of next year, have a 16 MP  snapper with the ISOCELL tech, perhaps without optical image stabilization  and possibly with some elements resistance  in tow. That is hard to take in all at once, we know.

But let's not get too ahead of ourselves as we highly doubt the Galaxy S5 to premiere with a mid-2013-grade chip inside (no offense, Snapdragon 800). We'll have to wait a little longer.
UK Judge reveals details on the HTC One successor’s launch date
In today’s ruling  on the patent case between Nokia and HTC, the UK high court judge Richard Arnold revealed details on the HTC One  successor’s launch date. The Taiwanese company’s next flagship is said to launch in the UK in February or March 2014.

gsmarena_001.jpg

The timeframe is included into the judge’s decision which allowed HTC to continue selling its flagship smartphone in the UK (the HTC One mini  wasn’t so lucky). Regarding the possibility of halting the HTC One sales, the magistrate argued that "there is a period between now and February or March 2014 when HTC is vulnerable". The aforementioned period comes from evidence submitted by Nokia.

No further details on the upcoming range-topping device from HTC were provided in the judge’s decision.Past  leaks, point at HTC M8 with 5” 1080p display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC coming our way.

Note3/Sammy/Android owners:

How do I change my fetch interval for yahoo and gmail? Do I have to uninstall and install them again? For the life of me I can't find it in the settings. I have my phone to fetch email every 30 minutes but I'd rather change it to 1 hr or even manually fetch to save battery.

THANKS BRAHS

Sneakaprince, brother trust I'd get that Note 3 but after relocating and buying furniture and a flat screen I'm gonna have to miss out. I don't even want to look at one in the store and get ruined  I did that with the G2 and left feeling some type of way after looking at that gorgeous screen my dude.

The recent news and rumours about Samsung's flagship device, the Galaxy S5 overshadowed Samsung's curved devices plans. After the launch of the LG G Flex and the Samsung Galaxy Round, what is next for Samsung apart from the Galaxy S5? Rumours suggest that it would be a smartphone sporting a three-sided display, which could be the Galaxy Note 4.

Bloomberg reported that Samsung will deliver another curved smartphone in 2014 which will feature a three-sided display. This three-sided display will be wrapping around the sides of the smartphone offering users to receive contents from different sides. The curved and flexible smartphone plans started late this year and it is expected to fire up in 2014. Samsung will most likely make the most of of its newly acquired YOUM display technology.

The Galaxy S5 release date is already on track early next year, and it is more likely that the YOUM technology will be incorporated in the Galaxy Note 4 instead.

With the YOUM technology, the latest Samsung device will be extremely impressive. A wide array of customisation is expected as each side of the display is said to "operate independently."

Another report form ET News said that Samsung is also working on the 20 MP camera modules to be ready for the second half next year, which is the same time the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is set to be launched. If Samsung will not wait until 2015, we might get to see a Galaxy Note 4 with 20 MP camera late next year. Typically, Samsung uses the same camera specs on its Galaxy Note and S series, but next year, this could not be the case.

Aight Shimmy...I'm not so pumped at the 20MP cam...that's like whatever, but the display possibilities and also the fact that it will probably be fast and butter smooth with its new processor has me going. They took a step forward with the note 3 as far as making it seem more premium, and it will probably continue with the next one.

Nah. You must be on a prepaid plan or one of the old t mobile Plans sir.

50 bucks unlimited talk text and web (500 mbs of 4glte) then for the data you get $20 truly unlimited 4G lte and it comes with 2.5gbs of tethering. 70 bucks a month b4 taxes. 80 something after taxes. :pimp:
I see the confusion. No I don't pay $20 a month and just get minutes and unlimited 4G data . I get you though, my bad should a been more clear.

If I order a tmobile activation kit, am i obligated to use it right away? They're free right now, and I plan on switching over to their $30 prepaid plan around May. How would I go about this? Order the activation kit, sit on it, and then activate it when I'm ready?

I didn't wait that long but it took about 3 weeks before I actually activated it and didn't have a problem. When you get your kit I believe it tells you how long its good for, I believe.

This my first month on the $30 plan, and I received a message saying that I went over my 5GB for the month and I'll be switched over to unlimited 2G. I've noticed a little slow down but it's still way better than Sprints "3G". What a joke SMDH.

yup. thats what I did, ordered a regular sim and a nano sim for when I got a new phone.

Thanks. How are you guys on minutes? Do you guys use an app to make calls free? And what happens if you go over your minutes? do you just get charged the usual $0.10 per minute?
