Its the new runtime. It replaced dalvik. The phone performs a lot faster and has better battery life

I was just wondering, are Android phones buggy like most other Google made products like Google Chrome and YouTube? I also hate that they leave known bugs often for years before fixing if they even ever do fix them, and often when they finally do fix a bug a few updates later they re-add old bugs.

My number one reason for avoiding Android phones is the amount of bugs in other Google made products so I simply assume their phones are just as buggy as their other products.

M8 holding up like a champ. 3 months plus .No case. Dropped it like crazy only minorrr chipping n the corners.

Battery life and performance is unflappable.

I do have some surface scratches on the screen that piss me off tho from keys and tight chinos :smh

you probably was the worst person that could of have received the free phone. first he took a little while to get it to you and you put his name on blast and now we hear you treat the phone like ****. smh

My biggest concern with the M8 is that it came out four months ago and I'm still not sold on the "ultrapixel" tech

if you like to view pictures outside of the phone screen itself... then dont settle for it. ultrapixels are trash and the camera is the achilles heel of both the htc m7 and m8.

Upgrade is next month. Used the M8 in the store, feels awkward to hold and currently I have a G2 with a case

Probably get the G3, like the idea of a removable battery (since that always seems to go after a yr).

Adaway and removal of bloatwear plus some of the great features LG includes makes this phone god.

Yeah this phone is growing on me. We will see if I keep it though. If it was rooted on a stock ROM - Boat it would be off the chain completely

It's still snappy, it has the occasional hiccup every now and then but for the most part it's smooth and fast.

Battery life for the first 2 weeks was amazing but it has def declined. Still good but not as good as it was.

I love the phone 100% except for the camera and wish it wasn't as tall as it is but I understand it's for the speakers

A lot of reviews praise the m8 on its design and performance. How is it holding up for the people that have the one

I never mentioned speed or lags, I said bugs (for example the context menu key never worked in Chrome despite multiple reports of this on their forums). Another bug on YouTube that's really annoying is that clicking the video itself to do play/pause only works if you're moving th mouse at the same time or if the mouse moved in the previous faction of a second, for me that uses a trackball it's incredibly annoying as I always have to move the ball before I can play/pause by clicking the video.

Edit: Unbelievable, they seem to have finally fixed the mouse move play/pause issue, it took months if not over a year though.
