Liking the new textra as well. Anyone see the new HTC desire 820? Good midranger phone. With a new iPhone lurking I'm looking to have a dual phone setup. IPhone + opo (if I can get a dang invite) or whatever the new nexus will be.

I liked the old look, but the Material Design change is real nice.

Except now I spent five minutes deciding the theme color

I wish I could change the text bubbles for the incoming messages, hopefully they'll update that in the future... and I liked that the font was black for my message, the white font will take some getting used to.
These. The chat bubble colors need to become independent of the theme again.

Is there an app to make my messaging look like iOS where there's multiple people in the conversation?

One of the few things that irks me about Android .

You mean group messaging? Like all the text apps have that feature

Its cool, the main issue was that I didnt like the colors that auto detect picked up. It would use white more often than not in almost every app that i frequent. The first time I got it i manually changed the colors for some apps, then when I flashed a new rom I got lazy and didnt want to do it all over again so I gave up

Qksms looked nice but you couldn't do **** with it.

I LOVE the automatic MMS download.

Save all the ratchet pictures these chicks send.

The ONLY thing I want them to change is the privacy in the notification drawer.

When you pull it down, it shows the picture of who the message is from.

No bueno.

I need it to be an icon with the number of unread messages and THAT'S IT...

If they do that, RIP to any other text messaging app.

her name is Mz Damn.

Does TEXTRA have read receipts?? like "delivered" or "read"

or is that based upon carrier/phone?

I think you had to have made the purchase on Google Play though. Not sure if it's eligible if you bought it from a carrier.

Sweet deal though. Beats paying for insurance. I've been lucky so far but this gives me peace of mind...

EDIT: Found this on TC
Did you drop your shiny new(ish) Nexus 5 and wreck the screen? Don’t panic! Google has tweaked its stance on accidental damage a bit, and will now (probably) replace the handset for free — but there are a few catches.

Word going around the rumor mill was that Google had suddenly instated a new policy regarding replacements for Nexus handsets that had been accidentally damaged. The weird part? No one seemed to have confirmation from Google on the matter.

So we, you know, called Google and asked.

Here’s what we learned: It’s not so much a “policy” as it is an “exception” that Google’s customer service reps are allowed to make — so you probably don’t want to be a jerk about it when you call. Also, it doesn’t seem like every rep necessarily knows about this yet.

Until now, accidental damage — be it water damage or a shattered display — generally meant you’d foot the bill. A replacement screen, for example, would cost about $150 (or about 42 percent of the cost of buying a new Nexus 5 outright).

Here’s the criteria, as explained to us by Google Play support:
  1. The phone must have been purchased through the Google Play store. So buying a broken Nexus 5 off Craigslist probably won’t work.
  2. It’s a one-time exception.
  3. You must be within one year of the purchase date.
  4. The phone you get will be a refurb.
A Google spokesperson confirmed the new “exception,” but was quick to reaffirm that, “this special exception is available in the U.S. only at this time.”

I wish I could but I got mine off Amazon, for $20 with that 2yr contract. Might still call and see if I can get a good Keith Sweat beg going and get lucky, probably not... might just bite the bullet and switch to my iphone5 for a lil bit

It seems that Sprint customers can't really flourish with unlocked phones, am I misinformed?
