Huawei is continuing to push the limits of how big can a phone get before it becomes a tablet. Their latest edition to the Ascend Mate series of devices has just been announced with impressive specs and very handsome design.

The new Huawei Ascend Mate7 features an aluminum body with nearly no bezel. The back is gently curved to be more ergonomic and it sports minimal branding. It really is a good looking device. But unlike some of the previous Ascend Mate devices, it has the specs to match this time. The Ascend Mate has a 6-inch 1080p display, an octa-core processor, up to 32GB of storage, either 2 or 3GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, 4100mAh battery and Android 4.4 with Huawei’s EMUI 3.0.

On of the more unique features of the Ascend Mate7 is a fingerprint scanner located on the back of the device similar to what you find on Apple’s iPhone 5s. Instead of swiping your finger across the back, you simply press your finger against the sensor and you’re ready to go. Huawei says it will work even with wet fingers, can store up five prints and uses ARM TrustZone to store fingerprint data right on your device.

The Huawei Ascend Mate7 will be available in Q3 2014 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage for 499 euros, or 3GB RAM and 32GB storage for 599 euros.

[COLOR=#red]I just made the greatest discovery EVER!!! And it's going to save me from having to buy a Note 4 while retaining all the things I like about the S5. I have a Surface Pro 3 and the stylus pen that comes with it works on my S5 in the same manner as the Notes. I downloaded S-Note and I can write and draw with it, and it even works the capacitive buttons below the screen. [/COLOR]

Well for the most part while at school my SP3 is with me most of the time, it's barely thicker than the S5 and it's super light so it barely feels like anything in my backpack. Just checked and it works with the video slider too.

It's very precise as well my dudes. What an Easter Egg. I haven't seen any of the tech blogs mention this.[/COLOR]

Man ever since I got the OPO, I have barely used my iPad Air. Also haven't touched my MacBook Pro in damn near a month either. I just can't see myself going with no laptop for myself. Sell both and grab a Chromebook maybe?

Important Notice!! Google just started a new policy for Nexus 5 users today. They offer one free replacement for your damaged Nexus 5, doesn't matter if you crack the screen or get water damage. I cracked my screen today and Called Google Play Customer Service and the Rep said I was in luck and they just started this new policy today. They will send you a replacement device in the mail and you just ship your damaged device back to them.
