Has anyone driven an Fiesta ST? I know it's possible
but I cant seem to wrap my brain around the idea that
its as good a drivers car as people are making it out to
be. For a $25k econobox they're getting compared to
M3's, 911's, and all types of whips 3x its price.

Idk man, I doubt the Fiesta can even keep up with a new WRX. Let alone an M3.

What are the specs on it?
Oh its def not powerful. Its just its power to weight
ratio they say makes it so much fun on the street.
Dat useable power. It has like 200hp & its under 3k
lbs. Small, light, and tossable. I might have to go
drive one to see what the hypes about.

Her name is QuickSilver :pimp: :pimp:

Took a couple pictures of the M yesterday...

some people are into that stuff i guess.  Same reason the BRZ has so many supporters

Word, thats what I can kinda compare it to.
Similar price for a decent drivers cars under
25k. Only thing is the BRZ seems underpowered
and it being NA, is harder/more expensive to mod.

Yea the BRZ is just dumb. And it's actually not under 25k i think its around 30k.   It's RWD, that's about all it's got going for it

i drove my friend's focus ST. wild torque in the front wheels, but drives well. as a WRX owner, the focus is easier to drive. MUCH easier. shifting is so much smoother. and unlike subaru, ford does give you ALOT for the $$. still tho WRX >

subaru can't even give me a damn quality interior that doesn't have dash rattle :smh: and that irks me everyday that they can't produce a car that has a well built interior for that kind of money.

then again, whatcanisay has dat new STI ( i think) so they might've stepped their game up.

i'll never understand why they keep making those "sporty" cars FWD.  My buddy has a Mazdaspeed3 and it's a cool car but it would be so much better if it were AWD like the speed6

Both the new Speed3 and Focus RS will be Awd... Relize that ten years ago the most powerful hatch, besides the wrx, was 200hp... Fwd is completely fine and a lot cheaper for 200hp... But the hp races have made 300hp hatchbacks the new norm...

The interior is pretty good for the money. I've been in an 04 STI and it was significantly different. I can't compare it to other STIs/WRXs though, I've never been in one.

Leather & suede, heated seats, digital boost gauge/reverse camera/ some AWD reading/ & other options on the dash. It's enjoyable being inside for sure.

yea i would hope so. the new interiors seem better built. overall i think the design is much better too.

it just always bothered me that i'd spend that much money on a WRX 2012 and id get dash rattle. nothing serious, more so in winter, but still. could spend less $ on a camry and prolly get no dash rattle. still an AWD hatch is very practical for me.

BRZ is basically an Si with RWD.

I have tons of fun in my Si, if only it were RWD...but anyways. My gears have been slipping out lately, is this a hint that I need a new clutch soln?

i hate that Toyota didn't put an in-line 6 in it

That would have been waaaay too heavy and completely destroyed the weight distribution and handling characteristics of the car. The GT86 is intended to be a revival of the AE86 Corolla, a moderately quick handler that's easy to slide out and doriftu if that's what you want to do. I'd love to see more manufacturers follow suit with inexpensive, low powered, entry level, rwd sports cars. The MX-5 is pretty much it's only direct competitor. I'd like to see Nissan bring back something along the lines of the SX, which it looks like they might be doing with a 4cyl variant of the Z.

Nt will never understand the frs\brz. They stay hating on it.

Need some help guys.

Its a common issue (googled it) where if I turn my wheel extensively (to make a u-turn or side street park) my radio will cut off or in other cases my car will start to stall (not all the way where I have to hit the clutch and restart everything). No one has been able to figure out the problem in the forums that google gave me.

Anyone have any ideas? It halpens only with a sharp or extensive turn, never when I make a left turn or right turn into a street or whatever. 08 Si coupe with a fairly new battery (little over a year). 62k miles, just an intake for engine mods which ive had for over a year as well.

I think if the Toyabaru had a 3 or 4 cylinder
with a turbo it would be better. More potential
for mods w/o the added weight. Superchargers
cost bread.
