For the 156th issue, XXL takes it back to the essence with G-Unit. After six years apart, 50 Cent and crew have reunited and offer XXL an in-depth look at their breakup. G-Unit was shot by Tom Medvedich and interviewed by XXL’s Vanessa Satten, Miranda Johnson and Eric Diep at 50′s famed Connecticut mansion, which was the same place as the last XXL G-Unit cover (May 2008) and the last time the Unit members were all together.

In addition to the magazine cover story, XXL will release a definitive roundtable video interview with G-Unit next week and a collection of more original G-Unit videos in the following weeks.

On top of the special G-Unit package, the October/November 2014 issue also features special stories with Joey Bad*****, Cortez Bryant, Scarface and Royce da 5’9”, a tribute for Def Jam’s 30th anniversary, and a very talented Show & Prove section featuring Goldlink, Bobby Shmurda and Raury.

The October/November issue of XXL will be on stands everywhere on Oct. 17.

Kidd Kidd is so trash. Can someone explain why 50 signed him/put him on G-Unit and is actually making music with him?
Dude cant even rhyme or flow. Im sure there were more talented young rappers he could've signed.
Dude ruins every song :smh:

I thought xxl announced no more magazines...

They did, but I had assumed that would be the last one. That's one I'd actually buy.I think the last XXL I bought had D12 on the cover.

Video is dope, love the hook. Banks should be so much bigger :smh: lazy *****. Buck overacting like a **********

Can't stand that Kidd Kidd dude but I guess he better than that Hot Rod dude 50 was trying to put on years back.

Kidd isn't bad he just doesn't mesh well into the Unit, it's like G-Unit AND Kidd

Why are you surprised? There's only 2 more months left in the year and the beast of independence hasn't dropped yet

Who remembers 'The Big Withdraw'?

It had so much potential man...

They still could've polished it up and dropped it IMO

i'm getting irritated with these delays, G-Unit ain't gonna do anything either for 50's solo career. them guys gonna go triple plastic wrap if they ever release an album solo wise.

Im not really lookin forward to a gunit album honestly. I just want a solid buck album. Maybe a kidd kidd and buck mixtape wit some verses from 50 tossed around.

and i rest my case. nobody checkin for G-Unit in 2014. it's just a stupid move IMO.

Yeah man i feel you on that, but when they all reunited i was kinda hype for a mixtape just to see what they can pull off after so long. Then it dropped. And i maybe put 2 songs in rotation. Buck is the standout on every track, 50 is ehhh, and banks is boring, yayo is just yellin, i hate to say it, but its hit or miss for kidd kidd.

yup i want a Buck album too

and this reunion would have a had a crazy impact if Game was apart of it....plain and simple. If he came out after Buck during summer jam and they performed hate it or love it or how we do place woulda went ape ****...It really would have been a "holy shhhh" moment in hip hop

Yeah tht moment at te concert woulda been dope. But not the months following like these that have passed. The hype was real, some remixs were OK and that independce tape was aight.

Buck ia the hardest put that whole camp. No arguing about that. He was doin his thing after that whole him and 50 ****. But he still held his own in the underground. Now he has a chance to get back in the mainstream and get that mainstream money. Buck always been 100 so he aimt switchin up. He can make it, just needs a lil guidence. Now wherees that boosie and buck collab at? Pr that buck quarter brix mixtape??

Bro u gotta chill, nobody checking for a 50 cent album either. If he drop a 6 track ep on iTunes it wouldn't have nearly as many downloads as a g unit. I hope they keep giving us tapes and a buck solo with g unit features, they can keep everything else
