Hey guys thanks in advance for your help...

I play in a Flag Football League that plays on multiple surfaces - most of which are not exactly well maintained - that said I'm looking for cleats for the Fall.  I've worn the UA Nitro's in the past (gasp, I know) and have tried on the Zoom Carbon Fly's but they are difficult to even get on.  I prefer a 3/4 shoe, but as I get older every little bit helps in the speed department.  That said, I'm willing to look at low cut shoes and am curious as to your thoughts on the Super Speed TD's?  Any other shoe I should consider?  And thank you.

Hey SteelerBill, I'm in the same boat you're in.  For this past summer season I used the Nike Super Bad II's with the detachables.  With the outsole, I think you should choose an outsole in line with the type of field you would most likely play on.  For the first couple games of the season, I played on turf and the detachables were perfectly fine.  Not as low as I would have liked but perfectly fine.  We then moved to poo grass/dirt fields and the detachables weren't that great anymore.  If it was high soft grass, I'm sure they would've been great.  I really think you can't go wrong with a TD outsole since I'm sure your games would be cancelled with heavy rain anyways.

With this upcoming season I'm looking for a new pair too.  I've tried on the couple pairs you've mentioned:  Carbon flys, Speed 3/4, and Speed Low TD.  If I were choosing a low, I'd go with the Carbons.  On a try-on standpoint, they fit better than the Speed Low TDs, and I'm sure with a little break in, they would be great.  I actually really liked the Speed 3/4's, the 3/4 felt better than the lows.  Out of the three and if I'm considering costs, since the Carbons are retailing for $130 and the Speeds are $85-95 I'd go with the Speed 3/4's.

I actually also tried on the Adizero Scorch Lows and those felt really good as well and are in the $100 range.  They have a mid version which I'm really interested in but haven't found a store that carries them to actually try them on and Eastbay is almost sold out so I'm sure they are really popular.

Sorry for the long read but personally if I'm aiming for a low I'd go with the Carbons but definitely try the Speeds and give the Adizeros a try too.  3/4 wise, I don't think you can go wrong with the Super Speeds.  I have a couple friends who have the Carbons and the Speed Lows and they each really like what they have.
