WHAT??? !! Those are all star numbers. They think he'll make that big of a jump this season?

I believe it's mistaken. The writer probably meant per 48 mins.

The Knicks are planning to waive center Eddy Curry after February's trade deadline, according to a report in The New York Post.

Curry's expiring contract will no longer be a trade chip after the deadline.

He strained his hamstring early in training camp and is expected to be out for at least four to six weeks.

u never know when his contract comes in handy before the trade deadline. (Travis Knight's contract could have netted Rasheed Wallace that year. But since he was cut, we couldn't do it.)

that's my point. the article says we are planning to waive him after the deadline. that's inaccurate. we are planning on trading him before the deadline.

it should have said "if curry is not traded by the deadline, the knicks will waive him"

After Melo goes no-trade no-extension and the deadline passes. We get a late Xmas present sending Curry to the buffet so he can eat a **** and die. Basically. Maybe Earl Barron makes an appearance too. Bout to be a stressful All-Star weekend.
edit: I think the writer's like when Obama used to say when I'm president, instead of if. When Melo falls into free agency, all of that's gonna happen.
