I'm currently in NYC chasing dreams and really need a job to have some sort of income coming in. I'd like to go down Spring St. and work at BBC or Bape, but is it possible? Or is it super insider...cause I don't really know anyone that would work there or knows anyone who works there.

Any help?

@ asking NT and not the store manager

Your connects in that scene have to be pretty tight. There are no job applications for those places. They usually hire people through word of mouth via a friend.

Those jobs are all about hookups.
I dont care what the manager or whoever tells you.

For both you idiots.

I didn't move here to "pursue a career in retail."

I need a job right now so I can have some type of income instead of the monies previously saved.

They pay in those places must be crap. I figure specialty stores like that, Gamestop, etc. pay minimum because they know kids are willing to work there for next to nothing.

Talk to the employees or the manager if you don't have connections. What's the worst that can happen? If you don't get a job there, go look somewhere else to work if all you need is a job right now, doesn't have to be Bape or BBC.

why not work somewhere else in the area and work your way up? if all you need is stable income, just look elsewhere. BBC and Bape don't print special money. that scene isn't what you think it is.

There's actually a pretty cool guy on here that did security there on the weekends just to hang around the store, since he didn't need the money but liked the discounts. I'm not sure if he still works there but I do have his username/email somewhere.

knowing someone does help...but the same people have been working there for quite some time, so unless someone quits forget about it. This goes for bape and bbc. And at bape they don't really hire individuals just looking for a job you need to be trying to accomplish another goal i.e music, modeling etc

Keep pretending that "in search of" is a good album, they should hire you based off that dedication alone!

Pretty much summed it up right here. I'm friends with most of the current staff and I can tell you now that you might as well forget about it and hit up H&M or something. They pretty much pay the same anyway.
