Nike Air Max Uptempo This will be released again ??

Got mine in from Villa. Disclaimer I do not own and I have not tried on a pair from 2011. Materials aren't premium by any means but craftsmanship was good on my pair and overall I am satisfied with them considering what they were previously going for on eBay. They have a nice padded ankle collar and the Air Max units don't feel anything close to probably what the OG's felt like but they aren't uncomfortable either.

I wasn't able to play ball in them but I did do a full work out at the gym in then. So maybe that will help you out.

First thing I noticed was the tongue is very short. You will constantly be pulling on the tabs to keep the tongue up. The next thing I noticed was the weight. When I was playing ball I was playing in Kobe 8's or KD7's and the weight is noticeable compared to the two. Of course you realize that technology was different in 1995 as this current model is a mixture of pleather and nubuck material. Comfort really surprised me as it was very good. No pain during the workout, after or this morning. It is a very flat shoe with no arch which works great for me. The Air Max units don't feel anything like the 360 units we see today but it was still a comfortable shoe. I would feel comfortable recommending the shoe with the exception that this isn't the Kobe, Lebron or KD's that we see today.

If that's how you feel about this release, you would think you were walking on pillows of air wearing the '95 or '00 versions.

Even though I am almost pushing 30 I can still remember how good your feet felt when rocking the full Air Max units. Especially on the runners when they still had the PSI markings on the bottom.

This was such a clean colorway when it originally came out and I could never afford it as a kid so when I saw it on sale for $100 I had to have to for nostalgia purposes alone. I knew damn well that it would feel nothing compared to its OG form.
 
i honestly think we "remember" how comfy OGs were because we werent old when we got them, i mean how many times can we say how hot it is outside when we never complained about it as kids so i think the OGs are better and more comfy but not as much as we "think" they were. 33 here btw
 
That is a good point, man. When I was a kid I couldn't tell the difference. It was a shoe that I ran around in, played in and beat till the soles came off.

I don't think I really started to understand shoes until I was in the 8th grade but I can remember owning a pair of Air Max 97's and those things made it through 5 yrs of track and one year of cross country. Comfort isn't even the right word to describe how good those shoes felt.
 
Had a pair of OG's that had seen better days. Was excited to be able to replace them with a '11 pair, but too my horror they were so umcfortable I had to return them. Even with a blown Air Max unit, the cushioning was incomparable.

It's one of the reasons I don't get too excited about retros releases until I can see them in person and try them on.

finally got mine friday so dope im rock these this summer got em for 100 so even nicer for one of my grails
 
Just picked up a pair and I love them.  Pretty good quality and pretty comfy for a Nike retro basketball release.  
 
I remember when these came out and I really wanted them but as a kid, I would only get 1 or 2 sneakers a year and my parents would not buy them for me because they just bought me pair earlier. I'll see if get a pair below retail.
 
They need to bring out some sweet lows, summer is coming and lows are right for spring through summer!
 
Still wear my black/gray 01's. This question has been on my mind for yeats. I've seen the symbol on the back say "air tempo" some say "air uptempo". Which ones are they?
