^ Good to know your rig works, bruh. But if I were you, I'd invest in a better-quality/rated PSU -definitely don't go cheap on that. Expensive components are at risk.

By the way, forgot to mention that Cooler Master sent in my replacement fan control assembly. Not like my current one isn't working, but it's good to have a spare lying around. Planning to mod this new one before I install it in my rig, though. :smokin

QuakeCon Steam deals revealed: 'Skyrim,' Fallout and more marked down

By Griffin McElroy on August 2, 2012 05:49 pm
steam discount

Bethesda and id Software's catalog of titles on Steam have been discounted to a tremendously marked down price point of $99.99 for the duration of this weekend, as part of the annual QuakeCon event.

The bundle, which is marked down from $456.59, includes all the Dooms, Quakes and Elder Scrolls titles on the platform, but does not include the recently released Dawnguard DLC pack. By pre-ordering Dishonored on Steam, you can actually mark the bundle's price down to $79.99 — and grab a free copy of Arkane's Arx Fatalis for free, to boot.

Each day during QuakeCon 2012, which runs from today through Sunday, August 5th, a different game or franchise will see its own sizable discount.

Thursday: The Elder Scrolls Sale, with up to 66 percent off
Friday: Rage 50 percent off
Saturday: All Fallout titles, including DLC, are 66 percent off
Sunday: All id games are 75 percent off

In addition, all of id Software's iOS titles have been marked down to $0.99 for the duration of the event.

This thread fell asleep for a while. High time for some updates.

Called off the liquid cooling loop build indefinitely, since I don't need the extra cooling for now, as it still isn't necessary to overclock. Maybe next year.

Just got myself a ButtKicker Gamer 2 for my racing sim rig from Amazon. Sim racing experience is definitely much, much better now. Even improved the feel of the shifter somewhat. Not to mention it kicks @#$ in movies and on Battlefield 3. :smokin

Currently have it mounted sideways (not-recommended) in my rig. Planning on doing a minor mod on the rig soon, so I maximize its potential.

I was debating on a 7970 or a 660ti running only two monitors potentially 3 any suggestions?

Been thinking about getting 2 7850s or waiting to see what the 650tis do. The 650tis are supposed to be the $200 card from nvidia and crossfire I heard is a headache.

Plus Green team has been the best team

I'll just have to upgrade when the time comes.

In about a year or so those video cards will be a bit cheaper and I'll buy them then.
