NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

Lucky.

^ Yeah they're all in this larger format now. Paid $9.99/bottle which definitely costs more compared to the 4-packs last year.

Damn, BC is that big? This sounds like a sneaker release, but with beer.

Edit: Should of gotten a 6 of the B&J. Its good.

I'm passing on BCS this year unless I get lucky and come across some. Last year I waited about 5-6 hours and dropped about $120. Then out in about over the following week I found a couple random 4 packs.

I'd love to get some again but I ain't gonna lie, after last year (my first and only year waiting like that) I think I came to the understanding with myself as much as I love Bourbon County Stout, there isn't a beer worth waiting in line like that for. And I agree with what was said above, the hype they put on this release is crazy but I suppose it's well warranted.

Saw some high production quality ad for bcbs on YouTube. Kinda weird

I stopped looking for specific beers but if I come across done bcbcs, I'll cop a bottle or two

The thing that bothers me is one spot I go to religiously is releasing it at 3. Doors open at 9 but you only get 2 bottles of the original and then you get your choice of ONE variant. That's it. And that seems to be a some what normal response to these releases unless it's a huge store like binnys.

^I'm with you on waiting in line for beers. I lucked out this time around. Not even going to bother with the variants. Snagged two more bottles of BCBS today (total of 4). Good enough for me.

For sure. I bet I'll find at least one or even a couple bottles before its all said and done. I still have 2 bottles of original and my coconut from last year I have yet to drink. I'd love to find a 2015 to try it back to back with one of last years bottle.

Was able to cop 1 bottle of the stout at this 1 little mom and pop shop. The other shop I go to had about 20 people in line since they got the variants. It's not that serious for me to wait 2 more hours in line.

I agree, bro. And I spoke about being lucky, I called my local grocery store/Jewel. My man said they got 2 cases in and only had a little left. Had about a 20 min driver and told him thanks but it's probably not worth the drive cause it'd probably be gone. Dude said he'd hold me 3 bottles. Couldn't believe it. Such a good dude and what luck.

Not even bragging just excited because that was literally the only way I am buying this anymore.

And if you don't mind me asking, what are you guys paying? They charged me $9.99 a bottle which I actually thought was low.
400

No Bourbon County out by me yet.  Every distributor I went to told me Monday. I coincidentally have off Monday, so I'm flourishing.  Best case scenario I get at least one bottle of each variant.  Not holding my breath for Rare.

Found some special cans on my quest today.  Definitely softening the blow:

This sure beats waiting in line at Best Buy. Cheers, NT.

As far as BA imperial stouts go, Bourbon County is arguably the best (somewhat) accessible one.  It's not worth camping out for, but it's certainly a very good beer that I look forward to buying every year.

The variants, on the other hand, are fantastic.  Bourbon County Coffee is easily one of my favorite beers of all time.

I wouldn't say garbage but time spent in line vs a beer? I now agree. The variants are good but the regular is where it's at for me.

Told myself hell no. But I was out and about and near the beer store. Waited about 20 min in line. About 30ppl ahead of me. Only knew what was available/being sold as we got in line. Regular 2 Bottle limit. Bw and rye 1 bottle limit. They also had some project pam, dissendent, and some other local randoms. TW had a 1 bottle limit on regular. No line or nothing. I think I'm done. Pretty painless. Missed on bw and rye. Rye is aged with fruit so I may have dropped 20 and not really have liked it. I think most bought just because they could.
1600

Some local grabs. 2013 sour cherry kriek. Expensive but I don't think I'll be disappointed. Local gabf medal winner chocolate milk stout. Least expensive bf haul in awhile.

My state seems to be getting less and less, as more and more people become fans of beer or this style.

Format sucks. Price is like 40% higher as well. Yet in the scheme of things, it's still not priced too crazy. Bcbcs is amazing. Bcbs is one of the better bourbon beers. Parabola is #1 for me but I haven't had too many of them.

Stuck at work with a short shift. Waiting to get off at 1 to hopefully snag a few bottles. This deli by my job also has a keg of last years vanilla rye. The waiting is killing me!!

Not beer, but I've been looking of a new dark to drink.

A homie gave me a bottle of Gentleman Jack and I still haven't cracked it open yet.

I'm a Henny man, and I enjoy Remy Martin too.

What do you guys suggest to a guy looking to get into Whiskey?

Quick question for anyone that got any variant of BC. Was the coffee or barleywine any more expensive?

This over priced place had some regular, coffee and Barleywine. He is charging $19.99 per bottle. I know for the fact the regular is $10 so that ******* marked it up 100% but what about the coffee or barleywine?
