The Official Netflix Thread Tho: Recommend Streaming Movies

Watched the last 8 episodes of Master of None last night. Skeptical at first, but really enjoyed the show. Loved Rachel.
 
Does "The Killing" get any better? Just started S1. I feel like this could have been great if it was pitched to HBO or Netflix. These TV networks just don't do as a good of a job.

Thats because HBO and netflix can show nudity and profanity. Fox, abc, cbs... take great ideas and water them down so the fcc wont get complaints from soccer moms for showing an *** cheek.

It's more about talent and budget.
 
Yeah, nudity and profanity aren't the problems. the killing was first on amc which has put out some great stuff. The major network shows have bigger budgets but also have to worry about ratings and a lot of red tape. They don't let people cook like they should. That's why people were surprised with some of the stuff Hannibal was showing on nbc.
 
I thought The Killing was ok... got my interest when it started and pretty much throughout season 1.  The subsequent seasons felt a bit forced, I think. 
 
The Killing has a bad reputation because of the S1 ending. That REALLY pissed people off. :lol:

Take that away and it's a good show. Not great, but entertaining. Holder and Linden are great together IMO.
 
I love the Seatlle setting, the rain, the concept, but damn...the acting is cringeworthy at times. I guess I'll stick it out to be pissed off at the end

A friend of mine told me to watch bloodsport.
Might have to watch it after seeing that UFC fight. Got me Amped up for no reason lol
 
Not really netflix related but whats some good shows to binge watch thats recommended even from other sources?

BloodSport is my favorite movie of all time. Go watch it please and tell us what you think. I will bump the thread for you.
 
Almost done with the first series of Top Boy.

SMH at what happened to Marlie. Eff chantelle and the rest of that crew.

sully is a real scumbag. I'd make him take a dirt nap.
