The young arms out of the pen and how he worked them? Harang and Mesoraco are probably the worst ones.
You don't want a guy with a horrific idea of how to set a lineup, 0 idea how to use a bullpen, destroys arms, favors veterans over younger players, against any kind of analytics and is against getting on base to manage anywhere but especially in Washington.
He's like the 4th AAAA OF'er. A really good guy from all accounts, players like him and he's a scrappy dude...but you start playing him everyday, you start to see why he's never really stuck around at the MLB level
He's perfect w/Pedro, get these guys in the booth once a week.

I didn't follow the Reds closely, so I was just asking. The lineup questions are valid and favoring veterans over younger guys is problematic, but if the staff around him isn't full of yes-men than maybe he could learn how to change. Out of all the managers on the market he technically has the best track record. Bud Black never had talent in SD, but besides knowing how to handle pitching I'm not sure what else he'd bring to the table. Gardenhire is a basic retread. I'm still holding out hope for Dave Martinez or Ron Wotus.

The amount of pressure on this dude, especially after losing game 2 in that manner is monumental. I think he's mentally cooked. If he comes out dealing early he might have a shot though

The cupboard is bare for Gibbons. He might just have to keep him in especially if it's before the third or fourth inning. He still has to strategize for a possible game 7. I just have a feeling that he won't be able to come back out dealing after that humiliation and the winless streak makes it double

Can't believe we're going to the World Series. I was 9 the last time we played and I remember vividly, Armando blowing the save. Todd Zeille just missing a home run. Hopefully we take it this year. If the Mets and Jets won in the same year, I probably would just die.

Interesting to see whether Price will choose Chicago or Toronto next year. Cubs need to improve on starting pitching and they'll be set.

Just checked out ALCS schedule. Why are all games on FS1? It makes sense. I never see their games on TBS.

TBS has a solid format/crew for sure. I do like FS1 though.
The ALCS times have been so unappealing too; pretty much if you aren't a fan of either team you aren't going to make the time to sit and watch the series.
