@brianmctaggart: Will Harris has the lowest opponents' average (0.73) among relievers

:x

He doesn't have the best stuff, but his command is :x

True.  I'd think they'd put either Cruz or Trumbo in the OF full time but who knows.  Just read that Zduriencik said he'd be playing RF, DH, and 1B.

Oh yeah.  I just hope he gets full playing time even if they rotate him, I picked him up off waivers for $15 in my fantasy league earlier this year.

You know they can get away with him at first. LoMo isn't anything special.
His defense has been surprisingly good. Almost really good, dare I say. They need dudes who can hit though. I'd imagine he platoons with Cruz in RF mostly with the occasional start at 1B.

They still need a leadoff and they can still stand for some addition by subtraction with all of Ackley, Bloomquist, Ruggiano and Weeks still seeing the field on a regular basis. With Castillo leaving, they'll call up Sucre, so my guess is it's Ruggiano they let go -- though it really doesn't matter to me who it is from that group. They all MUST go.

I forgot what the specific reasoning was, but Keith Law said they have no chance to play anywhere near the level they are at right now

No chance though? I don't know about that. I've stated before I think they regress, but I wonder on what grounds he thinks that.
Fangraphs podcast with Dave Cameron said they had the lowest win probability moving forward

Twins also have the third highest xFIP in baseball 4.38 so regression in those arms looks likely.
I don't know all what entails xFIP, but from the eye test, their pitching is getting better. Between Gibson and Mays, these guys keep getting better and better. They don't strike out a lot of batters, but  I don't see why that really matters all that much. If these guys keep improving (judging by May's start today, he continues that trend) and a guy like Pelfrey stays consistent, then they may be just fine with Ervin getting back to the rotation.

Their hitting is a question mark, but Pauly -- as we've talked about -- seems to understand how to optimize his lineup and knows how to coach in situations that put the batters, baserunners, etc., in a position to where they're most likely to score.

All encouraging signs, but also very tough to extrapolate to figure out if it's sustainable.

It's basically the defense/ball park assisting the pitching. I don't think the Twins will fall off a cliff but they probably won't have the best record in the AL (we both know that's not shocking  ) I really like the base the Twins are building and once those kids come up they can be a really fun team. Molitor really is doing a tremendous job.

Chapman

After the Reds announcers talked about how long it's been since he's given up a HR

Yeah, I don't expect them to even win the division really, let alone best record in the AL. I think a wild card is possible though.

I swear I can't take anymore Six Flag commercials as I watch MLB.tv on mosaic.

Yeah I can see the Twins competing for a wild card. AL is really weak this year.

McCullers was incredible tonight. If his change up can just develope into average, he's going to win a Cy Young.

And I never say things like that lol

McCullers going back out for the 9th

As an Aggie and Houston sports fan, I have to assume something bad is going to happen

Dude these six flags commercials are becoming a bad joke at this point. I'd mute the damn computer if I wasn't using it to listen to the mets.
