i actually listened to the kaley interview, pretty good. funny story about her getting busted open  someone should've given her a strawberry shortcake.

^Since 8 Simple Rules :smh:  She just seems like a fun time.

I wonder if AHS was initially intended to be "her show" or did she just do such an incredible job that they decided to build around her
Yea, I think she's kind of their credibility. There was a whole generation of very good actresses in the 70s-80s like Meryl Streep and Cybill Shepherd...Sigourney Weaver...Glenn Close. That "would always have a seat at the Oscars" class. She was in that class, so she's kind of the biggest name on the show. And she got Emmys for both seasons, so I'm guessing, they'll keep bringing her back as long as she keeps saying yes.

Sony has said that it will consider a proposal from activist investor Daniel Loeb that the group should sell off parts of its music and movies business, which includes popular franchises Spider-Man and Resident Evil and the weepy ballads of Brit crooner Adele.

I listened and thought it was funny too. And her current, thicker form, is ok with me.

Saw Star Trek 2 last week. I enjoyed this one more than the first. I went in pretty much blind, which I think helped. I was shocked when I found out Cumberbatch was who he was  I liked that the film more or less got right into the action. And the CGI was fantastic. Overall this is one of my favorites of the year so far. Definitely my favorite action flick. Sorry Tony Stark.

So I'm looking up older dystopian films. Come across this Logan's Run. Based on a novel, later a show/comic book.
It depicts a dystopian future society in which population and the consumption of resources are managed and maintained in equilibrium by the simple expedient of killing everyone who reaches the age of thirty, preventing overpopulation.
I was curious about any remakes, and sure enough, one is in the works as we speak (and there have been others - apparently awful).

Well, was in the works. It's on hold now because the director wants to do a comedy with Ryan Gosling.

That director? Nicholas Winding Refn (of Drive and Only God Forgives).

And who was he going to have star? Gosling.

He dropped out originally, but maybe the delay will put them together for it eventually. I still haven't seen Drive or Only God Forgives to be excited or unexcited about that, but.

Anyway, the point is... that !+%* sounds cool to me.

Edit: The script is already done. One of the writers wrote 28 Days Later, Sunshine and Never Let Me Go... :wow:

Paging JA - what do you think of the Rob Zombie Halloween movies? I think they suck, but I'm not as big a horror fan as you, so maybe I'm missing something. What's your view?

  @ the commercial for upcoming NBC tv show Ironside.

They remaking anything now  Pretty clear NBC is reaching hard for a new stable line up.

On a more bias interesting note, the CW is having a new series remaking The Tomorrow People. So I'll check that out.

Interesting, and I don't usually bring this up as a point but I highly doubt Disney is going to buy back something that would just come back to them if they wait unless they make a very low offer.

It's a shame about Sony. I've been brand loyal to them for years. I think they make the best TVs on the market. I don't like Samsung tvs because I think their picture quality is artificial & over saturated looking.

4-5 years of huge profit loses each year including over $5 billion last year is hurting them big time. They sold of the building in New York they owned which housed their NYC headquarters recently for $1 billion.

I guess they're going to sell other assets too. It's a shame... The company was started with $500 & 6 or so employees & started to take off when they started making transistor radios after WWII...

I hope they'll be able to make a profit again...

Seeing The Hangover III and Fast & Furious 6 back-to-back tomorrow night. :smh:

Why? I don't have an answer. Sort of obligated by friends.

i dont think i have ever seen a network tell viewers in a commercial that elementary and scandal are over for the season so come watch our show....damn... NBC getting really desperate these days...

Actually turns out Sony is not selling off assets but considering hedge fund manager Daniel Loeb's suggestion of selling off 15-20% stake of Sony Entertainment which has such properties as Spider-Man, Beyonce, Adele, & the distribution rights to Bond films. The Sony board is said to be considering this plan but it would turn the entertainment division into a much more separate division but also not see vital assets leaving the company. This rumor makes much more sense then Sony outright selling off these valuable assets.

Teaser trailer for a new HBO original movie called Clear History starring on Hamm, Bill Hader, Kate Hudson, Eva Mendes, Danny McBride, Michael Keaton, Phillip Michael Hall, JB Smoove, Amy Ryan, & Larry David. The story is about a disgraced former marketing executive that plots revenge against his former boss who made millions from the electric car company he once owned. Guess who that is driving the Porshe...
