I like random little jokes/lilnes in movies that aren't laugh out loud funny, but for some reason I crack up every time when I hear it... and Happy Gilmore has the line when Happy tells his girlfriend he went to Subway and "I went to high school with the guy and he gave us extra meatballs"

So am I the only one who liked (or enjoyed) Thor: The Dark World? 
I went to go see it again today at the Metron in the city, just as good the second time around.
I felt like Malekith was a great villain to emphasize on, and I felt like he was truly menacing, unlike a lot of Marvel's villains recently.
Loki is too "dreamy," to take seriously; Red Skull was a cool concept, but never felt like a threat; Whiplash and The Mandarin were pushovers.
I felt like the last time someone challenged someone from the Avengers seriously was Abomination from The Incredible Hulk.
Thor, Loki, Malekith, Kurse, Odin, Heimdall, they were all awesome.

Watched A Clockwork Orange in theaters.... glad I actually was able to experience that, especially since it was my first time seeing it. A local theater was playing it at midnight here on a random Thursday, and me and three buddies caught it. Never been to a movie theater that had a bar either (I guess we were in Uptown MPLS) so I had we all grabbed a drink while watching.
Iron Man 3 has made 1.215 billion dollars.
And don't forget that 15 after the 1.2 either. That is 15 freaking million dollars.Anyone check out Runner Runner? I'll probably see it at some point despite the bad reviews solely because it applies to me.
Caught up on Homeland... I've seen it all the way through tonight.
Finished Season 1 of BBC's Sherlock. Going to be all done before the new season that comes out on January 19th or so (supposed to be earlier in the UK).

But you know how much I would enjoy at the end they just revealed Crowe as a guy hallucinating in current times or so? Or a guy who hears voices in that time? Y'all might think it'd be crazy, but imagine the buzz and gossip that would stir. Everyone would see it just to see what all the fuss was about. It would start a gigantic religion debate... Real Time with Maher would be going ape ****. For the complete polarizing aspect of it.Runner Runner was a fun 2 hour watch. Nothin special, just enjoyable. Little, Wall Street 3ish.

JA, I loved Thor 2. Very well done. Even Renee Russo gets down. Good humor, great performance by Loki, solid story, very good chapter.
Hope Cap 2 follows suit.
2 Guns was a solid 110 minutes. Denzel and Marky were fun, Paula's Pattons were nice, Creepy Bill Paxton was good to see, Cyclops with a haircut, it was fun.

I also saw it in theaters (after seeing it quite a few times before though). Still, the grain of old films always brings a smile to my face. It looked so damn good on the big screen, full of vibrance and color.
Was that theater expensive? The only theater near me that sells alcohol is absurdly expensive (Kabuki in SF). It's like 14.00 for general admission, 9.00 for a small popcorn, and the drinks aren't cheaper than 20.00. That said, it's a gorgeous theater, and definitely an experience. I only go there for indie films, but I can see why people like it.

I thought the title sequence in Skyfall was amazing as well. Just a brilliant set of graphics and effects work.
I believe the ticket was $12.00 JA. Yeah, I wouldn't normally go spend all of that, but at times it can be fun and it's less expensive than a pizza you'll eat in 10-15 minutes from Domino's while being a night of entertainment, so it doesn't bother me that much. I can't imagine being a bartender in a movie theater though. What is that even like?

Got my tickets for the new Hunger Games flick at 8:30 on Thursday night. Don't even gotta sit and try to stay up during a midnighter. I had tons of problems with the first one (like when they're all trying to shoot arrows and **** at her up in the tree and then they just give up and not try to you know, burn it down or anything. AND then, they all fall asleep and not one person stays up :x WTF) but it's getting great reviews. Even though the other did as well, I want to see what they improved, plus I haven't read the books so it'll all be new to me.

All the opening title sequences of the Bond films have been amazing, each of them iconic even. Posted a youtube vid that had all of them several pages back through Skyfall. Was going to post it again but the vid has been marked content belonging to another country & won't play...

because Aronofsky can handle the "mystery" and "psychology" behind the story. He's done so throughout his whole career, this will be his grandest film thus far

Watched Wreck It Ralph last night, what a delightful film. Took me till the end to realize that was Sarah Silverman's voice. It brought back so many damn memories but serious question, do arcades even exist anymore outside of Dave's and Buster's and movie theaters? I know barcades got some buzz for a little while but what the hell do kids do now when they go to the mall other then eat and look through the toy stores?

And I loved thor 2.. It's up there with avengers and iron man as marvels best outings so far for me.. Bring on surtur, the enchantress and executioner to go with Loki in part 3 and it has a chance to be even better

We still have an arcade in one of our malls, but it's in the mall people don't go to anymore because too many little hoodlums lurk it.
Every game in the arcade is for sale too. Wouldn't mind owning a few of them

there are arcades in almost every mall. lots of minature golf and waterslide places have them as well. but they have fewer video game machines. more rides and game ticket machines than video games
i remember playing killer instinct in the arcades on a giant screen **** was amazing ah the good ol days

I don't know what happened at the time but I vividly recall the commercials for both movies back in '06 but for some reason I only saw The Prestige and that became one of my fav flicks from Nolan, and in general. Somehow I forgot about The Illusionist. I'd say The Prestige just has the edge on the amount of great actors and to that I'd say Sewell does his thing as the Crown Prince. Things would've evened out if Marsan had a bigger role as manager. As for the females despite liking ScarJo much more I'll call it a wash to avoid arguments with the Biel lovers.

Its not a Christmas if Ralphie and Co aren't involved at some point, IMO. To this day, whenever I get a package/box that says "fragile" on it, I always pronounce it "fra-geee-lay" because of that movie. Word to the leg lamp.
