Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I've never understood this 'gotta see the end' mentality. If I stop enjoiing a show, I'm done that episode, don't much see the point in finishing a tv show/movie if I no longer enjoi it.

Idk, maybe wanting to see the end of a story after you've been watching for years and it was one of your favorites at a time?

Pretty simple concept, I'm sorry you struggle with it

Last season was a challenge to watch through

Because sometimes shows just go through rough patches and things turn around? I've had plenty of TV shows where I said "Ehh, the past couple episodes haven't been great", but it was just a couple of bad episodes and the show was still great.

And yeah.. there's a certain sense of commitment that a lot of people have to a show. You've put in 6, 7, 8 years... what's another 12 hours of a final season to see how it all ends up. Sometimes the show is bad enough that you don't even care.. which is what happened with Dexter for me.

Can't believe you guys take any of am1x90's posts serious.

He's always playing the antagonist on every topic.

It's clear he loves to ruffle feathers.

Also, today is my day off and there's a Die Hard Marathon on AMC... good thing I had no plans.

Why can't we ban trolls who don't add to quality discussion?

This thread is one of the most high quality on NT except for the rare time dudes like him come along.

Couldn't sleep last night so I started watching Blue Is The Warmest color. Couldn't finish because I finally got sleepy. Will have to finish tonight. Got about 40-45 mins in. Damn, it's a long movie...

I find it extremely hard to believe that the Series Finale of Dexter was also the least viewed episode of the entire series.

And I just realized that's not what ratings we are talking about, and completely get it now.

Sorry, didn't know not finishing a show was so dubious. If I don't like something I stop watching, I don't understand why people finish shows for the sake of finishing, it's not a career, or school or a race or anything that important.

I feel most people do things for other people's approval, so they can be 'part of the convo' personally, couldn't care less. I watched the first three seasons of Dexter religiously, saw where the show was going and stopped watching. All the sudden I get a bunch of 'you must not like tv' 'oh you don't understand good tv' etc. did the same with weeds, same with prison break.

Sorry, not as smart as some of you, guess I'm not as dedicated either. But it is what is is, watch what you want don't make me no never mind. I've never been the type to finish tv for the sake of finishing, especially one thing I didn't enjoi. One rough patch and you've lost me as a viewer...out out a better product

NT dissenting opinions not welcomed, if you don't agree this is the wrong place.

Dissenting opinions are welcomed, specifically in here... but you just sound defensive and pretentious

Cars 3 better redeem the failure that was Cars 2.

Theres no way they can mess up the Incredibles though, absolutely none.

The Star Wars prequels were better than the OGs, but thats not saying much Star Wars is bad to me I dont understand how it became what is is.

Antidope's mission HAS to be to give Ska and CP a heart attack before the summer.

There's no way this dude literally hates every classic movie ever made

He should be banned from the internet.

Not NT, the internet.

Life, actually.

That's unforgivable and his twin should try to disown him somehow. :smh:

Nah son. Most people don't know what they want from a movie/tv show. They'll enjoi a show when they actually watch it but then, when the Internet asks, the denounce it because its not cool to like. Then they'll force themselves to watch a show because the Internet says its the best show ever, but the the interwebz will turn its back on something quickly. I'm not looking for expert opinions, but something more than 'it sucked because it sucked' or 'its the best ever' but when similar things are brought up, especially from something their not suppose to like it'll get no credit.

I watch the Simpsons religiously, watched it with a friend. Before the show started he hit me with 'how can you watch this mass produced trash, you only like it because they force it down your throat' then he laughed damn near the whole time. Then he said 'that was the only good episode'. I feel that is what the interwebz has become, a constant contradiction.

The interwebz is still a wired place to me.
