Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Just finished Only God Forgives:

Very interesting movie. I liked it. I think these kinds of "artsy" movies are my favorite. I loved the sound of the movie for some reason. The minimal dialogue, not as much music as typical movies. The whole ambiance was great.

This movie was brilliant in my book.
Reminded me of Oldboy, the original.

Hit up Snowpiercer tonight. What an awesome sci-fi action movie. Overall for my money I'd probably still take Edge of Tomorrow but only by a slight margin. Chris Evans put in work as well as some others I don't want to mention. If you can find it def recommending this one.

This is 40 was great

If Apatow keeps up the cronyism with his daughters (I think there his or nieces w/e) they're going to be stars. They were real standouts in a film where Rudd was shining and Mann was really good. The younger one was adorable and funny, she could probably helm her own kiddie movie if done the right way and the teenager can actually act. Put her in all of Woodley's recent movies and they improve sevenfold. Apatow going for a take on LOST where a fan isn't hugely disappointed was also funny in it's own way, gave me a bit of nostalgia.

Pretty much. Nowadays when I hear his name and I'm forced to give him thought I just cringe and am horrified cuz I think of that atrocity that's Transformers Dark of the Moon (the only Transformers movie I watched from beginning to end) and damn :smh: :x It just wouldn't end. Think that left a few movie scars on my psyche. Mind numbingly bad.

I'd rather watch the G.I. Joe movies over and over. Crazy Hollywood is aiming to ruin all of the childhood cartoons and tv shows. Only a few pan out. I'm definitely not watching AOE cuz while I didn't like the main Transformers cartoons I loved Beast Wars.

I read this and I'm pretty sure you couldn't pay me to watch it.

I refuse to take people who enjoy Transformers seriously when it comes to movies, culture, etc. Can't deal with people with such horrible taste

I watched transformers 2 in the theatre and remember enjoying it. Sometimes you just want to see giant robots fight.

I do too, minus seeing humans going to robot heaven, transformers turning into humans, horribly corny humor and dialogue, making up for a lack of interesting characters with a hot female lead who has no business acting, and a one hour robot fight scene in which every robot eventually blends together and you have no idea what's going on other than seeing 10000 explosions

Can anybody tell me if Fargo is worth following? Don't know anythin about it.
Dope *** show. You can't miss this one.

You've seen the movie right?

I never watched the movie until about 4 months ago, slept on it, then the series came out. I was double blessed for that discovery. Two gems

I took my nephew and my nieces to see this on a "real" IMAX screen when it came out. I think I was more geeked out during the Optimus forest fight scene and Jetfire giving him his parts, than they were.

Finally got to see Transcendence. Hard for me to say that it was an interesting story, because it's a rehash of a lot of sci-fi tropes in film/ tv/ short stories. The main fault is that the film is just straight boring. I usually don't like films that always take place in a metropolitan city, but if the premise is how A.I. and nano technology can change the world, you have to show me the effect it has on the general population. 90% of the film takes place in a desert or a data center. Also seems like everyone mailed in their performance with exception to Rebecca Hall.

And on a side note, kind of ironic that while Wally Pfister (the director) is such a proponent of shooting in film, with post and CGI, the movie looked extremely "glossy."

I like Rebecca Hall but I don't think i'd watch transcendence unless I was extremely bored.

Love Honour Obey is ******* hilarious  Pure lulz

I wonder if we'll ever get a movie this good with a cast this great again given where most of them are today; Ifans, Miller, Law, Pertwee, etc.

Fargo is greatness. Especially for a one and done season. The series is better than the movie so far.
Fargo isn't one and done.
Season two is coming.
One and done as in the story and characters in S1 won't be returning. They're done.

Like an anthology series, American Horror Story style (but there isn't going to be the same actors just playing different roles).

Transformers 2 is one of the only movies I've fallen asleep while at the theaters... and I wasn't even tired.

I dozed off, then woke up and Sam was in robot heaven and I said quietly to myself "What the ****?"

Only God Forgives is pretty as ****.

If you were into that and Drive, I would check out Valhalla Rising.

Am I the only one who feels like Matchstick Men is vastly underrated?

I love that ******* movie, bros.

Watching Teen Titans Go! I used to watch it when it back in the day. I gotta say, I like this show as equally as the last. I like that they made cartoons fun again. , less serious. Big fan.
