Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Gone Girl was my favorite movie this year other than Guardians. It might be my favorite by the end of the year. That **** was awesome.

Annabelle was good times like The Conjuring.

Wife likes Belle better, I like Conjuring better.

Both were really good tho.

Holds a 30% on RT.

Thought Annabelle, As above, so below and Dracula Untold would be good. We atleast 1 of those. I'll wait for hbo or something.

Anyone recommend any good found footage films?

Only one I ever saw that I really liked a lot was the original Blair Witch Project. There's also one about two divers stranded in the ocean that's pretty good, but I'm forgetting the name. Open Water, maybe?

Caught Chef tonight on PPV. Fantastic movie. Great performances, a lot of heart and the food looked amazing. Maybe slightly longer than it needed to be, but that's a very minor complaint. I thought the soundtrack was awesome too, which was an added bonus. (Favorite track was the brass band cover of Sexual Healing - :smokin). Favreau does some pretty damn good work when he's completely running the show.

Rosamund Pike has found herself on a list with the likes of Sharron Stone in Casino and Penelope Cruz in Blow; tremendous performance of a character you absolutely hate.

Gone Girl was :pimp: . Really twisted and makes you question how strong manipulation can go in a marriage. Ben was really solid, won't be surprised he lands an Oscar nod (possibly even the win). Hell, even Tyler Perry was awesome .

Definitely recommended!

Found footage films?

V/H/S
[REC]
The Last Exorcism
Cannibal Holocaust
Troll Hunter

And more recently,

As Above, So Below.

Michael and Colin did heaps better on the Weekend Update.

I was dying at Keenan's Al Sharpton.

Colin: "What do you think is going on with the Secret Service?"

Keenan(as Al Sharpton): "I don't know, it's a secret"

Haven't been here in a while. Kind of just stopped going to theaters. Been stories about people catching bed bugs and ****. Don't feel comfortable sitting in those disgusting seats anymore :smh:

Just watched a few movies.

Chef - Great movie, really wanted to see it in the theater but was busy around the time. One of the best movies of the year.
Edge of Tomorrow - Straight up video game. Reminds me a lot of Destiny and the movie Source Code. I really enjoyed it though, great film. Tom and Emily were great.
Transformers 4 - Ehhhh, it's what you expect from the series. Some cool action and transforming. Awful movie but still enjoyed it.
Sex Tape - One of the worst comedies. Lowe and Cordry were cool and so were a few others but overall, just awful.

Will be watching Are You Here later today after football.

I love big areolas :smokin :smokin :smokin

saw gravity last night. one of the most basic movies ever. apart from the graphics there isnt enough substance to keep you in. 3.5/8.

Sandra Bullock killed me in that movie. Her character was an abomination to logic and reason. How she was in outer space and grossly incompetent ruined the entire premise which had potential. Then the howling. Enough was enough. And Clooney. No my friend, this was not the time or the place for your cool guy schtick.

Gravity is a serious piece of ****. Bullock was brutal to watch and the plot itself was boring as can be.

I watched the first 20 minutes of gravity on-demand and got bored.

Twin Peaks coming back? I am excited. I know I said before I didn't like it, but as the show progressed it got pretty awesome. Definitely sticks with you and makes you want to watch it again. Damn good coffee! Audrey Horne :smokin

I was really blazed so the first 15 minutes were so beautiful and awesome to me. That opening scene was awesome in 3d. But as the movie wore it got more and more bleh. Bullock's character shouldn't have been written the way it was. You didn't need a bumbling idiot to have a potential space tragedy movie, being in space sells itself with the potential dangers that could arrive. You write Sandra's character like a smart believable astronaut and it's a better movie overall.

Saw Gone Girl last night and while I liked it, I don't love it like most people seem to.

It reminded me of Side Effects with Jude Law and Rooney Mara

All style no substance. Be ready for ppl to tell you that you wouldn't get it unless you watched it in IMAX 3D.

One of those movies banking off the visual effects and not much else.

What did you guys think of the heat with adam ray?

Is that a solid comedy or just watch adam ray's scenes and be done with it?
