Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I hate Nicholas Cage's face.

Like, it actually makes me angry whenever I see it.

Kevin Bacon definitely has a punch worthy face.

I'd also like to add Ethan Hawke to this list, even tho I like him as an actor.

So, the WB finally wants to get at Marvel.

Suicide Squad cast.

Jesse Eisenberg has also been in talks to play Lex Luthor in the film, reprising his Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice character and linking that movie to Suicide Squad, but as of now it is unclear if he will appear in the latter film or not.

The character of Amanda Waller still needs to be cast. She is the sort of Nick Fury figure who brings the team together (and was previously played by Angela Bassett in Green Lantern). Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Oprah Winfrey are all said to be on the studio’s short list for the part, with Winfrey being their first choice.

Directed by David Ayer

:wow: :wow: :pimp:

I am too, but glad he's accepted it.

It reminds me of Sean Connery.

He was offered a role in The Matrix, but he didn't understand the screenplay, so passed.

He was offered a role in Lord of the Rings, but he didn't understand the screenplay, so passed.

He was offered a role in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, he didn't understand the screenplay, but no way he was passing again.

Well........

Did not know that. Love Will Smith as an actor, hope this doesn't disappoint

The biggest surprise with the SS announcement is how it wasn't a surprise. These were all the names we heard since the jump. Shocking really.

Maybe he should've had someone explain them to him.

Had to look up who Rick Flag was. Didn't remember him. Saw a list of all the Suicide Squad. How many members are there? List looked like it was close to a hundred. No wonder the members were different in Arrow and the animated movie.

Other than maybe 2 names up there, I don't think Marvel would particularly want any of those actors given their options. WB's real steal was The Rock.

Plus it aint like Marvel was ever really going to do a villain team movie or solo. Whenever this comes out it'll be something new that might force Marvel to reconsider which I can commend unless that Sony Sinister 6 movie comes out first and is actually good.

Shocking specifically cuz we didn't get another Eisenberg disappointment announcement.

I can't believe all of this is true

Matrix yeah ok, besides who was he gonna be? The KFC guy that goes on that long as diatribe? Meh

I can totally see Connery being completely bored with the Lord of the Rings script and not finishing it (even if it was just the lines for Gandalf). He's pretty much stuck to his retirement so a multi movie deal probably also turned him off. I mean it's 2014 so that means he'd have to still be doing the movies now or force dudes to replace him.

The League seems the least complicated of the 3 unless they gave him Alan Moore's copious amount of notes which could be hard to understand

I will say I am not so surprised Will did this as much as everybody else. Pretty sure he liked comics growing up and wanted to be apart of something like this. Took what role was offered and probably got paid a lot. Marvel was definitely not gonna come calling. I feel this is different than the alleged Django situation.

Tom hardy is the only name of that group I would want marvel to get..

If marvel ever got wolverine back, he'd make an awesome wolverine
