i would say its about average, i might have rated it a bit higher since it was my 4th movie in a row so i was pretty tired by then
i enjoyed it
TMNT needed to focus on the turtles more, any movie with megan fox as the main character is probably going to score a 4/8 or lower

Nicole and the actress who plays her sister Jenny are both fire.
Since Fassbender is being discussed, his character couldn't bang her in Shame but he was getting in Nicole Beharie's sweet yambs in real life.

Finally got to Foxcatcher over the weekend. 7.6/8. Tatum and Carrel were the goods; Ruffalo did great as expected. This movie was really, really good. I dont think it'll jump Birdman for my favorite of the year*, but it's certainly on my short list. I can see why Venom was so hyped about this when he was posting earlier this year. This was master story telling at it's finest. And I'm not a wrestler or have seen much outside of a few friends' matches in high school, but I'm assuming the wrestling in the film was done very well and as close to reality as possible. Great stuff by Tatum and Ruffalo.

The Drop
A typical slow burning drama that builds to climax quite nicely. Plus I'm a sucker for Tom Hardy. Characters are interesting enough and acting is top notch.
Strong 6.5/8
@sea manup 3.5/8 is kinda generous for TMNT, personally had it at 2/8.... and I actually sort of enjoyed/appreciated it

Whiplash:
Amazing movie. Loved every second of it, right now my favorite of the year (haven't seen Birdman yet). Miles Teller blew me away, J.K Simmons was phenomenal. I'm not as big on Teller as a few people on here are, but this movie definitely showed that he has a bright future if he picks good roles. Just a story about a man chasing his dream coming to head with someone who pushes him to the brink of insanity. Very well done, definitely recommend you guys watch it for mainly two stellar performances.

I agree man. I mean everybody who is like his character no matter what line of work goes too far at some point, myself included. We all have to be reeled back in. But honestly, these kids today are so self righteous and deserving and its because there are not enough people like him. I know feathers will be ruffled with my view here but, when you can't spank your kid, to me that's not evolution, at all.
Anyway, The World does need more of that, not sure if you were serious, but I sure AF am.

and the thing is, its not like dude is out there trying to push everyone to the limits. its only if you have the potential to be great, then he will bring that greatness out of you. having someone push you like that isnt for everyone, but its vital for the rare people who can handle all of it and come out a legend
