prior to the nominations imo Id say no chance in hell but
Seeing he got that nom over gyllenhaal oyelowo & teller I'd say he's got a good shot but I honestly doubt he'll beat Keaton

(ps:smile:thoughts on steve Carells best actor nom? I loved his performance but that was a supporting role & if he was nominated for supporting instead He would probably have a better chance at winning imo.

I think he was fine in it and the movie was good.

I think one poster, I forget who now, kinda just mentioned that to springboard the discussion that Mark isn't that good of an actor and kinda just plays himself in multiple movies and that while he doesn't have anyone in mind he feels somebody else could've done better with the role in Boogie Nights and probably his other movies too.

What do you mean Fox's version? AHS stands for American Horror Story right? They already got the show on FX. Are they doing a spinoff or some sort of reboot for the basic Fox channel? :nerd:

I literally haven't heard anything about that so I was legit curious, well even more curious if the regular Fox channel was getting a similar show while FX already had one going strong for a while now.

Lea Michele and Joe Manganiello Team Up for Fox's Scream Queens—Find Out Who Else Landed Major Roles!
by SYDNEY BUCKSBAUM Sat., Jan. 17, 2015 10:29 AM PST

Make way for your new favorite obsession: Fox just rounded out its cast for Scream Queens with more than one major A-list star!
The new comedy-horror anthology series from Ryan Murphy will star True Blood alum Joe Manganiello, Glee's Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin and Disney darling Keke Palmer as series regulars.
But that's not all...mega pop star and former Nickelodeon alum Ariana Grande is getting back to her acting roots by guest-starring in a recurring role in the new series!

Manganiello, Michele, Breslin, Palmer and Grande will join previously announced Scream Queens cast members Jamie Lee Curtis and American Horror Story's Emma Roberts, who will take on starring roles in the limited series.
"We trust [Murphy] implicitly and he has proven over the years that he has great instincts for building characters that people care about and fall in love with," Fox boss Gary Newman tells E! News. "He brings an outrageousness to what he does that is his unique signature and Scream Queens, he's literally the perfect person to do this. It's going to be an amazing, suspenseful, fun run."
The new anthology series from Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders and is set in a sorority house. The first season will be 15 hour-long episodes.
Scream Queens is scheduled to begin production in the spring, and will premiere in fall 2015 on Fox.

Ryan Murphy does AHS and Glee right? I swear his probably a really mentally disturbed guy

No lie, as a child this movie was scary and when I got a little older I still found it disturbing as ****.

Feeding ppl you don't like to your talking human eating plant. Feed me Seymore! FEED ME!

Not to mention the dark take with the dentist. First time seeing the dentist viewed that way. I'm thankful I never had more than a cavity or two.

Nah b :smh: that all obviously came from the mind of a psychopath

lacked female influence in the movie though.  a good action movie needs some eye candy.

Glad this movie broke that mold.

House of Lies is kind of a bummer with a pregnant Bell.
I just realized Jenny Slate is the woman who plays Dougs GF. Blown.

Has the 2nd half of ahs this season been good? I lost interest this season and stopped watching. Show usually starts off strong and struggles toward the end.

I never thought Spring Breakers was necessarily "special."

I guess its just hard for me to say movie as a whole is bad if I was entertained throughout the whole thing.

Did it have awful parts? Absolutely. Some of the acting was hideous.

But for some...weird...reason, I think I actually understood between the lines what the director and writers of the movie were trying to say with that movie.

Everything has a point.
I think I got their underlying point and as silly as the movie was I think it was an interesting and entertaining way to make their point.

I tried explaining the deeper point I got from it to my friends and they laughed and said I was reaching. They didn't get it, so I don't think NT will either.

I never meant that it was an amazing Oscar winning screenplay or movie

But... I enjoyed it and, well at least in my mind understood and appreciated the between the lines message it provided even with the horrible acting and silly plot.

thats just me though. I would never defend the movie among "great" films,
Not even close to great. But not all the movies we personally enjoy are great.

Not only is Die Hard With A Vengeance one of the best action films of all time, it's also one of the best New York films of all time.

I feel homesick every time I watch it.

It was pretty good and I'm actually interested to see where it goes next. I plan on reading the books now

Between the mention of With a Vengeance and seeing him in the Kingsman commercial, got me thinking that Samuel L. has appeared in more films for big franchises than anyone else I can think of. Die Hard, Avengers/Marvel, Star Wars, Jurassic Park. If he would have popped up in a Harry Potter and Indiana Jones flicks, he'd basically have them all covered:

lucy was meh...didn't enjoy it too much.

interesting concept but the story was very underwhelming.

has anyone seen i origins or imitation game?

i think they might be my next watch
