I went in with high expectations and I'm left with an OK, that's it?

The movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I think I was turned off with the

Cops trying to kill the father. I thought there was a bigger plot, but I was left disappointed. And I still don't get why???

I understand the made pretend he shot the son because of the dixi gang, but that was stupid as well for me.

Anyways, watched it, it was OK and no harm.

No surprise there.

I just wonder what goes through Channing Tatum's head when he sees himself in a poster or commercial for that movie. Maybe he just focuses on the paycheck he got, but I'd be embarrassed if I was him. Then again, based on the way he popped up in This is the End, he clearly has a sense of humor about himself, so maybe he just laughs about it.
 
I'm wondering why eddie redmayne and my dude ned stark said yes to this movie. Maybe the paychecks were really good.

I have no idea whether the Straight Outta Compton movie will be good, but there's no question the trailer that's out is really well done. Plus, the way that they added the intro with the real Cube and Dre was also a great move. If you all haven't seen that version yet (I think it premiered during the Grammy's last night), check it out.
 
The casting is amazing , doubt they went out of their way to get make that quality of production to get drop a dud . This movies going to get an insane amount of hype .

despite my age, I'm a huge NWA fan. The trailer look a bit too much. I want to see the real story about the group and how they all came together not some fake made for TV script.
 
^^^ It does look like they took some license and exaggerated some things, but I remember the reports of some of the stuff depicted in the trailer actually happening. And of course the trailer is going to emphasize the more sensationalistic stuff.

When the father called his friend, we find out he was a P.I.

The conspiracy was to announce the son's death so the Dixi gang thought he was dead so they wouldn't go looking for him in witness protection. However, since they posted it in so many news reports the father thought his son was killed which was why he came for revenge. The cops didn't just send him back to prison cuz too many questions would've been brought up about why he did what he did. So they opted to kill him and that would've been the end of it.

That was clear to me. I was just curious about who actually was killed in the beginning.

Ok if you didn't like it as much as I did but I was just locked in once dude kept pursuing this whole thing.

I've only recently watched that movie for the first time a few months ago. Wasn't good.

it makes sense why they would off him now, but I think they should of have just sent him back.

I didn't like it as much as you but I didn't dislike it. It was just another movie ...

Also saw unbroken today and again it was just another movie. A little more heart felt because it was based on true events but just another movie.
 
Birdman was to abstract for me. But, the authenticity seems excellent as far as the Broadway backstage action. Just wasn't my taste.
 
was just about to ask why action movies were so much better in the 80s and 90s, then i found this



last year was a decent year for action though with wick and edge of tomorrow. hope good action movies are making a comeback 
 
I'd like to see a good medieval/sword fighting type action movie get made again. Something like the OG Conan or Beastmaster or even Krull. They just don't make those kind of movies anymore. (I guess you could count 300 in that genre, but I'm not a fan of that one).

And I know you guys live diehard with a vengeance. But Diehard is the ****. My favorite out the bunch. But all were dope, including live free or die hard. A good day to die hard was trash tho. :lol:

sadly they had the biggest (literally) action star of our generation in a movie like this and it just wasnt a good movie
