I forget about it too often when I need a good comedy to watch. It's absurdly quotable, a funny premise, it's got some heart, great chemistry.

When I was in high school/college before Netflix streaming took off, I would just put a movie or TV show on in the background and just rewatch it over and over again. Bad Boys 2 would be one of those, Wedding Crashers was another great one.

John Wick is currently that for me. Seen it 15 times the last month or so.

Others that fit that role

Pitch Perfect
Wedding Crashers
The Devil Wears Prada
Bad Boys 2
National Treasure
Someone Like You. (Wife and I both love this one)
Matrix Reloaded
Troy
Jack Reacher
Gone Girl (this and Wick been nonstop)
Kill Bill 1
Beautiful Girls
Casino (probably most viewed, ever)
Goodfellas
The Town
Point Break

I've rotationed these more than just about any films. All enormous rewatchabilities

I watch all of the Harry Potter movies every year around Christmas time...not really Christmas movies, but it's a tradition now.

Also Trading Places

Movies are a big part of my Christmastime. I always watch, at least once -

Home Alone 1 and 2
Christmas Vacation
Christmas Story
Elf
Sorcerer's Stone and/or Chamber of Secrets

Then generally also mix in movies like Trading Places, Gremlins, The Holiday etc. that aren't about Christmas per se, but take place during the season.

My son likes Deck the Halls with Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick a lot, but I just think its ok. And one popular Christmas movie that really does nothing for me at all is Polar Express. Bores me.

movies during christmas has never been a tradition for me and my family

only watching the lakers lose

Can't be.

Can't watch that with kids.

Depends on your parenting philosophy I guess. My dad took me to see Lethal Weapon in the theater when I was about the same age my son is now. He was conservative in a lot of ways, but had no qualms about letting me and bros watch R rated movies at a young age. I think I turned out ok despite of that. That said, I wouldn't watch Lethal Weapon with my own son yet.

How old's your son now?

My guy is 7.

There's no way.

He'll be 10 in January. 7 is definitely too young.

* Edit - I checked and I was 11 when the 1st Lethal Weapon came out. But I had already seen a bunch of R movies before that.

I still don't know what to make of that ending lmao
my guess is the way he was talking about Benny the the dog with Penelope he had signed the contract way before that car accident . That looked very improbable to survive honestly .

On the outside of the clique, as designed.

Title's a bit misleading, I know.

But you're here now. Welcome!

How awesome are Star Wars and Tarantino? :smokin

Your go-to Xmas movies. Go...

80s action movies are the go-to genre for "Repeatedly turn on as background movies" right? I mean you've got so many great Arnold movies, Die Hard, Kurt Russell, classic Jackie Chan movies, Stallone, etc.
Co-sign the hell outta this.  Ill throw in 80s H.S. movies too.. Adventures in babysitting, Ferris, breakfast club, my bodyguard, problem child(close enough to 80s) etc
