Rome was indeed great. The two lead characters were so good. My friend watched the show when it was airing and always told me how awesome it was but I never listened. I checked it out years later and was mad at myself for waiting so long.
 
watching John Wick for the hundredth time. I still find it hard to watch the scenes with his dog. **** just hits too hard.
 
Right, I just don't see any reason why Perkins' character is important enough to the plot to warrant inclusion in a 90-minute movie where 'inclusion' is a bigger percentage of the screen time in JW than in most films.

Almost every character I can think of seemed to have a point or tangental importance aside from her. I want women to exist in that world, I just want them not to be 1D in JW's universe of 2D characters - not meant as an insult to JW, I've voiced how much I enjoy it on here numerous times but it is what it is and it's the best of what it is.

I wish Penny Dreadfull was on hulu, netflix, or hbo go.

Im looking desperately for a new show to watch.
I been binge watching How To Get Away With Murder ever since Narcos ended :rolleyes
Also started Quantico and Blindspot too on hulu, but these are just "time killer" shows to me.

I need a real show like Narcos, Breaking Bad, SoA, etc. to binge thats available on one of those stream sites.
But i feel like ive already finished most of the good ones. (already caught up on House of cards, orange)

Rck told me to watch Black Mirror on netflix, im thinking about it...

Someone help me out with other great suggestions (i know i can stream any show online, i usually do, but i just wanna enjoy something on the tv legally and conveniently right now).

I think the point of her character was twofold. First, precisely to show that women are part of that world and, second, to show how important it is to abide by the code of that world. So, I think she served her purpose and I don't have a problem with how much screen time she got. Sure, her character could have been better developed, but you can say that about all the characters in JW really.

Black Mirror is a great choice.

If you want something like Narcos, underworld Boss type of show, you need to go with Peaky Blinders. (netflix too)

Cilian Murphy kills it, Tom Hardy appears in season 2 maybe 3.

Never even bothered with it. Decided to preserve my nostalgia for TMNT and keep my childhood intact.

And I loved Perkins, and her role. Like LD said, it showed not all in the profession had to be male, and that she could be every bit the threat Wick was. Hell, she called him a ***** and beat the hell outta him. :lol:
She was smart as hell, checking into the Continental,knowing he'd be there. Tailing DaFoe's character. Smiling while she dislocated her thumb.

She was great, imo. They even played down her sex appeal, further driving home she was a bad ***.
GI Joe went the opposite way, making sure we knew how hot she was, while bein a bad ***.

God damn Utred and Brida are a bad *** couple.

These Danes and Saxons better lay back. Show is the goods though. Catching ep 2/3 now and 4/5 tomorrow.

I don't recall if there was a lot of discussion about it before, but The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is well worth the watch.

A better story and plot would have elevated it a bit for me.. but I loved the style, music, direction, and the leads were all great. It's pretty much a live action Archer at times.. not a surprise since Archer drew a lot of inspiration from the original TV series. Hammer and Cavill were great, so was the lead actress. I forgot it was a Guy Ritchie movie, but I still loved the style and approach. 

Just a fun, stylish, entertaining movie with a lot of laughs in between.
