Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Jesus man.

Where the hell is the originality at?
These "movie" reboots into television are all horrible.
Apparently Limitless and one other show I'm forgetting were a "success" (a.k.a. just good enough to get a S2) so you know the main networks are gonna do more of it. I mean they wanted to turn Beverly Hills Cop in to a CBS tv show. They're doing a Lethal Weapon tv show :smh:

NBC needs a new hit. FOX is doing this or bringing back old classics or doing a comic book based show. We'll see how much it grows.

I didn't mention it earlier but they're also doing a Tremors tv show for some channel but I don't think I've ever seen the movie.

I have no doubt that you're probably right about the movie underserving the book, but those that haven't read the book won't suffer from that. If the movie's decent enough, to people who haven't read the book, that'll be enough. We don't know the ten you slept with unfortunately  but we also can't draw a comparison. :smokin Book's always going to be a better experience I think.

Black Mass the film was a huge letdown & I've never read the book.

Depp was awesome but that's about it.

Not eem Cumbergod could save that film.

I also agree with the actors looking cartoonish with the make-up... Todd from BB looked down right foolish.

Did that Minority Report spinoff get canceled yet? My god that **** was trash
I think so. Megan Good is already showing up/guest starring on Code Black on CBS and I haven't seen any promo for the show but I've seen for other new shows returning from their breaks like Blindspot.

It really wasn't good but they thought could recreate the black female lead paired with white male lead that Sleepy Hollow (of course they're ignoring what makes the show get ratings but w/e).

On the subject of TV, what the **** is CBS doing with Person of Interest? They still haven announced when the supposed final season is gonna air, let alone confirm it is the final season.

And agreed on those movie reboot series. The Rush Hour one seems extra lazy and that's the new formula. At least the Limitless one snagged Bradley Cooper to show up

If those are emoticons you're using for some reason I cant' see any of them.

Not surprised Married got canceled. S1 was good but it missed something in S2 and just didn't flow as well. If anything I'm more "shocked" at the shows that got renewed.

You can add Shooter to the list of another movie turned tv show. I'll check it out for Phillippe.

Yo what's the deal with that show secrets and lies tho with Ryan Phillipe? Idk why I loved that show so much man  acting was so bad it was great

That Angel from hell show looked awful from promo. 5 episodes tho  damn that's ruthless

I'm really interested in all these Fox shows returning. Never seen a network do that with all there top shows. Have them all take a huge break and return around the same time. Body ready for Gotham.

Looks like POI is up in the air..CBS doesn't want it anymore but the fans want atleast a nice ending to the story. I know I do. Show got better and better imo

Think they're gonna air the shortened final season this summer. :smh: Unfortunately.

Unless they're reconsidering and are currently filming a full 20+ ep season as usual? :nerd:

Yeah Cooper showing up as his character has made it seem like it matters more. Connects me to the movie and that was some world building I cared about.

The show itself gets a bit goofy for my tastes.

Yeah in the show thread everybody else liked it for similar reasons  and then the mystery second

The cast has been assuming it's the final season but it doesn't even sound like they know. I read some people think CBS has it in limbo to kill the chances of someone else picking it up to continue it. Though yeah it could be as simple as them wanting it for the summer.

I'm pretty excited for the Hiddleston-Laurie show, The Night Manager. Hiddleston's gonna take off at some point.

I'm hyped too but was disappointed it's just a mini.

Once the promo commercial started I was like how did they lock Hiddleston down for an American style tv series (even though both he and Hugh are British)? I'm all in though.

It's funny AMC even has to promote it that way when BBC would just say they got a new show and that's it

Just finished The Secret In Their Eyes... Heavyweight cast but it's pretty bland. There's sort of a twist but it doesn't really land.

Finally saw Room and Steve Jobs the past couple nights. Outstanding films. Brie Larson and Mike Fassbender killed their respective roles. Both deserve Oscars for sure.

Book's always going to be a better experience I think.
And that's just it. Movie was just decent, average. Book aside, there was nothing really special about the movie except Depp's menace.

If Arrested Development is in that weird format again, I don't want it. A MR F appearance wouldn't even make me want to watch.

Jason Momoa in a netflix series? I'm in. No doubt he'll play a beastly frontiersman or a beastly Native American.

verizon fios sucks so much. They don't even have the Vikings season premiere up on-demand yet. Those fools are always late putting stuff up or have missing episodes to aggravate you.
