If the timetable is similar to TDK, a teaser should be out by August (at the latest) with a full fledged trailer by November/December.
Only reason I saw I Am Legend in IMAX was to catch the prologue.. and it was worth every penny.

For certain sequences, but not for the entire film. Unfortunately if they tried shooting every scene in IMAX, they'd be pretty restricted in what they could do, being that the cameras are hard to manipulate due to their size.
