New Nike Eco-Friendly box

So I see Nike is realeasing new eco friendly boxes, i'm not sure if this reaches into JB or anything else.  I'm not even sure which boxes they are changing or if they are changing all across the board.  But my big question is; is why are they hiking prices if they are making cheaper more "friendly" boxes.  $%#? Nike?  thought?

This baffles me... I really don't know what to say.

I can ventilate my feelings towards this...

But in all honesty... Coming from a sneakerhead's perspective.... Who gives a damn about the trees.

Oh yeah... them boxes is !!*. First sneaks I saw come in it was grade school LBJ SB's. Figured it was just gonna be kid's kicks. But Electrics, Pewter, Trainer Huaraches...

Sz. 12 way too heavy for them skimp boxes...

HOWEVER - I'd have no problem with the boxes had we not gotten that price hike press release a few days ago like you mentioned. But this would follow the trend of them raising prices and lowering quality standards. Been their business model since the turn of the century.

Sz. 12 way too heavy for them skimp boxes...

HOWEVER - I'd have no problem with the boxes had we not gotten that price hike press release a few days ago like you mentioned. But this would follow the trend of them raising prices and lowering quality standards. Been their business model since the turn of the century.

theres some haters venting on youtube. Why do yall care where another man lives? the vid is about shoe boxes.

anywho, i noticed the new boxes when they had passed them out at the outlets. for storing reasons its a real bad look. i would like to see them use the "drawer" boxes but we all no that aint gon happen

So the front and back sides don't have that bent flap that used to support it? Other brands also don't have that "support" but I guess they use better cardboard? I have boxes from all sorts of brands and they stack just fine. All of them being constructed differently. So Nike must be really REALLY using some cheap cardboard, or they don't even know how to make boxes correctly. How do you fail constructing a box?

I have this new balance box that doesnt have any support flaps. It's all one layer and doesn't collapse or pull apart and that's built like a tank. Just like other areas where Nike skimps, they probably went with a really thin CHEAP cardboard, which likely uses the same amount of trees as another more sturdier product but costs them more... But as long as they throw it under the "Green" umbrella, Nike gets a pass.

I can tell that i'm gonna have to toss the box for my huaraches soon...its a damn shame...now they skimping on the quality of the packaging...i'm not saying the box is everything, but if the boxes can't be stacked and don't protect the shoe, then why give us a box in the 1st place? ridiculous

I can tell that i'm gonna have to toss the box for my huaraches soon...its a damn shame...now they skimping on the quality of the packaging...i'm not saying the box is everything, but if the boxes can't be stacked and don't protect the shoe, then why give us a box in the 1st place? ridiculous

Nike has discontinued the box we currently are seeing the majority of right now and and are going to use these boxes for EVERYTHING, except of course for Lebrons, Kobes, and everything else that comes in a special box. I have yet to see Air Force 1s come in this box, but so far Sportswear shoes (retros, brown colored box), and running shoes, and slide in sandals have all been diseased by this. I have no idea if Jordan Brand will follow for their main box.

Now were complaining about the box!!!??? I swear sometimes ppl just don't realize how big of a diva they really are. Ninjahood shouldn't be worried about the box. He should be worried that he still lives with his Moms at that age smmfh.
