New Nike Eco-Friendly box

The box before and after. Penny 1 were in it not books or bricks.

If the box was in great shape then there shouldn't be a problem stacking it.

I tried this out after seeing Ninjahood's thread, posted this in there as well.

stacking theses new boxes has been hell..... it has been applied to all orange and sportswear boxes...... nike cant even stack theses in the store without having them crumble/fall...... corporate has been emailed and replacement boxes have been ordered

We all know it may just be eco-friendly, but the bottom line is that they are CHEAP as well. They may pay 5 cents per box that take up 1/2 tree (for example sake I'll put numbers in here). But the reality is, there may be a 10 cent box that ALSO takes up a 1/2 tree that is better suited for stacking.. Or even a box that costs 12 cents and uses less than 1/4 of a tree. Eco-friendly and cheap often times do not go hand in hand, but when you have cardboard that is half as thick, then yeah, you are losing structural integrity and also saving the planet.. They are being very sly about how they are marketing these boxes..

I can sell a eco-friendly car that has struts half as thick as normal, tires that are half as thick, and yeah, they all take up less material and they are saving the world, but it's a cheap way to go about achieving your goals

I don't get why people are calling others out because they can see right through Nike's own tactics and demand better than that.

These boxes are extremely annoying to stock at work :/ the edges always rip and you have to grab the whole box to get it out

I see it as a problem. I could only imagine 500+ shoes crumbling down.... Smh. Well... These new boxes are gonna be on the top anyways.

It's not really much of a problem. We've got bins of the new boxes at my store stacked on top of one another on the floor. The only reason that causes crumbling is that customers will pull on the lip, tearing the lid and weakening the support.
