Started watching Sword Art Online today, more than halfway through (Like 7 episodes left) All I can say is:

Wish i'd started this anime sooner. It's very, very good. And I can actually understand it, whereas I remember back in the day with .Hack I never knew what the hell was going on.

I agree with based on the toy subject. They will regain their memories and still remember the toys as well.

What is code geass about? Is it shounen or nah?

but sasukes arent random dude was always a strong shinobi in the first place
naruto is just a terrible shinobi with the 9 tails that happened to be the son of the 4th then was taken under kakashis jariyas and bees wing etc etc
and hes STILL garbage all he does get stronger and spams a variation of 1 jutsu or talks

Just finished it lol 2 series in 2 days, not bad. I enjoyed it overall, great music and animation throughout. The second part was much, much weaker than the first though. Not like they didn't know what they were doing, but just like the didn't put as much planning into it, and were just plain lazy. Only reason I kept on was because it was literally just ten more episodes. I didn't even mind the new game, but they again just didn't put as much effort into it as they did with the first, and it just never seemed like it mattered. Interested to see the new season they're working on though, and in general i'm gonna do some research on more current anime, as well as ones that came out last year. Been focusing on older anime lately, and I don't wanna fall behind.

Bro, after hearing KOLs review I gotta agree with dude, the ending of that chapter is kinda terrible. Like all that buildup for ussop and that's how you end it?! shoulda ended on a more serious note

Yeah, that's how I felt. I was expecting Ussop to use fighting Trebol as a diversion and actually target Sugar, but nah, they made it as pathetic as possible and tried to diffuse a serious situation with humor. That's why I'm always tired of Ussop, he gets build up, gets to give a speech, takes up mad panel time, then has a ridiculous ending to his fights. There was no realistic way for him to win in that situation tho because he never thought it through. He went after trebol instead of sugar, he wasted opportunities before had, and just rushed the whole thing. The situation created throughout the entire arc has become way too unfavorable, there's not enough strawhats, there's too many antagonists, there's memory gaps, etc. I think Oda wrote himself into a corner and by having Ussop win in a ridiculous manner and getting the toys back human as soon as possible will allow him to balance the situation out better.

Funny enough, the main protagonist was supposed to be Sasuke till Kishi decided to make the main character an "underdog".

The arc as a whole is definitely great. It's like organized chaos and the fact that the strawhats are having a hard time and even losing is exactly what I wanted out of the new world, just the Ussop situation was handled poorly when there were better alternatives. So, that one part involving him got dragged out so the conclusion to it had to be rushed IMO.

The arc as a whole is definitely great. It's like organized chaos and the fact that the strawhats are having a hard time and even losing is exactly what I wanted out of the new world, just the Ussop situation was handled poorly when there were better alternatives. So, that one part involving him got dragged out so the conclusion to it had to be rushed IMO.  

Yeah it's starting to get annoying with the rushing scenes, like I definitely wanted to see the franky battle, not just fast forward to my dude laying there beat down

At least the flashback was sped up. I was looking forward to Franky going all out even tho I knew he'd lose once Bastille showed up, and dellinger showed up too. At least since that and ussop's "fight" happened off panel, we can get to the better stuff like Zoro vs. Pica, Luffy vs. Doflamingo, and I want to see what else Bartolomeo can do with his barriers, and what Sabo can do. There's so much left to see and probably Doflamingo and Law flashbacks as well, so some stuff has to be off panel.

Ugh that second arc was Soooo bad. On the bright side, it's widely regarded as the worst arc of the series and I've heard nothing but good things about the upcoming arc. I'm willing to give the series a second chance.

I was pretty happy with that naruto chapter, just seeing more of the past. Looks like one more chapter of dialogue before we get back to the fight tho. Btw, to my AoT readers, I kinda fell out of the loop but caught back up to chap 55 last night. Is that all there is? Is it on some kinda break right now?
