The Official Anime & Manga Thread Vol: 三

Just finished "Fullmetal Alchemist". Didn't really like it. Don't know why it's critically acclaimed.

What next anime should i start up? I like all genres except for Slice of Life and anything high school.

Watch Brotherhood. I hated the original FMA also but when i got put on to brotherhood i was hooked after like the 3rd episode. Art was better and story was more complete.

Going to watch "Grave of the fireflies" Today...

Is my Feel box ready???? or am I not ready.
Uour not ready.

Spoiler for after you watch it

Is just me or does reading manga on the iPhone annoying as hell with all the pop ups.. **** kills the excitement

Now feel free to correct me if my meomory is wrong, hard to remember all details of AOT because the frequency of chapter but here are a couple of theories or things that intrigue/bug my homeboy and i . Its cool to poke holes in our theories, because they are just that

Just kinda want to see what other people are thinking.
From the last couple of chapters i get the feeling that the titans are the "original" man. The only reason i feel this is because too many people are becoming titans and i still have my suspicions about certain characters higher up in the hierarchy of not only the military but with the supposed royal families. Also for a while now the "Hairy Titan has been bugging me all kinds of crazy. When they were at the castle and he says" Oh they invented these now", it seems to me he either has seen them before or has been around for awhile and he also manipulated the other titans in the direction of the castle. This brings me to Eren's Yell/Voice and why its seen as such a powerful tool. It seems everybody from the Armored Titan to the Government needs this power to conceal the peoples mind from the truth just like everybodies memory has been erased for 500 years. This all ties in on how the government uses propaganda through speeches and elections to hide their real hands. Its like how the towns people didnt want to believe they have been deceived and were lead to believe Levi and company were the enenmies which in fact they were not. Which the Coup still makes me uneasy because i think erwin is a titan as well. Also when they went into the village and Connie felt like he recognized that titan laying on the roof and thought he heard "Welcome Back/Home. that also leaves me with the impression that this is a recessive gene in all people. Another theory we throw around is a serious disease broke out amongst the titans and a vaccine was given to control shape shifting  or the disease. Now i know that is hella far fetched and we possibly are Dhalsim hand reaching but that all ties back to the "Hairy" Titan because he shows cognitive reasoning and speech and plus Eren's dad had to know how far the rabbit hole goes if he had a contingent plan in place for Eren to go back home and into the basement for "the truth".Which brings up how all the walls are held up by colossal titans. I just find it suspicious to have all these titans coming out of the wood work with unique powers and abilities and can control them with ease(Amir being one example). Also from jump the Titans never digest but throw up their victims. I mean yeah Eren was given that injection but something about the whole eating to gain abilities, etc just doesnt seem like a lucid explanation. I dont know but i just feel that this is a play on evolution or possibly de-evolution, if that is possible.
In re: Erwin
I think we know Erwin's not a Titan because his arm would have regrown if he was. So far regeneration's been a power all the titan humans have shown and it seems to be basically out of their control. Sort of a built in defense mechanism.
In re: how people become Titans
I'm not sure how the first titans came about , but so far with Eren, his dad, Historia, and that other chick that was in survey squad, we know that you get turned into a crazy brainless titan at first and then when you eat one of the human titans you become sentient and you get their powers. I think its safe to say the titans in Connie's town were made through injections, probably as a test. Where titans came from to begin with we dont know yet.

Did you watch the original series, or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood? Cuz there is a difference. Anyway, if you want to watch something else, watch Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) and catch up to the current season.

While I'm here, I just finished Death Parade ep. 3
Did they both go to heaven? I thought it was one goes up and one goes down? :nerd:

Thanks. Finished the original. Started "Parasite: The Maxim" last night but I was jus' told it's ongoing. I don't like that, i like my anime completed.

Thats the thing, im not totally convinced Erwin is not. What if titans can control their healing so they can use it when necessary. The other thing i was thinking is if he isnt a titan maybe he wants to become one. Ive always had questions of not only his intentions but the whole survey/Levi crew as well. Thats why the Hairy Titan intrigues me so much because he seems to be a major player in all of this.I also feel Erens dad isnt dead (on some Star Wars ish. Another thing is im tired of Erens whinning. I mean i know its part of character development(lord knows after all these years with Ichigo crying), just kinda of hoping he bosses up like he did in that fight with Annie and Armor Titan, but i know that will come with time, just seeing him chained up and defeated infuriates me. Sometimes i just want a protagonist to be about that life from jump:D

It's interesting what they did with Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul Root A. It kind of confused me because I was like "Is this how it went in the manga?"

Outside of him going to Aogiri Tree, they haven't actually seemed to change much though. Yet, at least.

Yea, it's not a ton different there are just little things here and there that they changed and I think the pace of the story is a little quicker.

I was mostly bummed I didn't get to see Kaneki beat Ayato half dead after he saves Touka

Same. That scene animated would be TOO :pimp:

Wait, that was one of my favorite parts in the manga. Def not watching the anime then

I enjoy Death Note, I've read the manga and now I'm watching the anime but I feel like L pulls a lot of his theories and deductions out of thin air.

Aldnoah Zero Season II...

This ******* guy.

It was just a matter of time though I suppose.

Yup, some **** goes down in this series.

It was either this or Highschool of the Dead.  I chose this one cause it was shorter but damn I about to be three episodes deep this is the most "different" anime I have ever seen.  Nonetheless I'm enjoying it so far.
