Sorry for callin you out man, I SAID NO HATE, just wanted to know why thats all you seem to contribute here. We all post pics of shoes we buy/get/have and you seem to like just searching the net and posting up whatever. Just seemed random to me, and I could def do without it, especially a corny pic throwing shoes in the air. Just keep doing you, others seem to enjoy it. So came home to the Stars pretty dope imo. The distressed leather has a greyish tint kinda like a dark charcoal. The leather tongue tag is pretty sweet! The tongue isnt as soft as the SOMP tongue if any1 is wondering its a bit firmer but not bad. Overall I dont my mind paying retail for em... I own somps, stars, n civilist... imo SOMP > Civilist > Stars. Dunno if ima lace swap em with some red laces though hmmm....

Of recent the only shoes that stood out as quality releases are somps, wpf, yoth and they will be loved and looked back on, the rest are so so, for me anyway... all I want and need now is, gibsons, freddys, mochas and papa bears, I'm done, trying to cut down my impulse buys and only get what I really really like, too many shoes sit in their box and don't get worn as it is, buy what you like, wear your shoes, quality over quantity. The old releases

Wish I could find laces that were a little more bronze and try those. These are the gold laces from the black UCS. My thoughts were to emulate those US flags with the gold/bronze tips. Maybe if it matched the gum soles a little more.

Yeah I know. And I didn't try that, but I know it won't do the trick for this pair. I would need to cut my big toe off hahaha. One of my feet is unfortunately way wider than the other.

Given that i paid retail for somps and stars, i really like the stars better and baby it more than my somps which i abuse and wear anywhere. Stars i really like the tongue so much im just hooked lol. I guess the price hike on the somps makes them more valueable. Not sure how the stars will do in couple months but im trying to double up on them. CAll me crazy but stars>civilist>somp I really dont feel anything special about somps other than the hype. Maybe its cause i dont skate and i dont know much background and just like Sb's because of the classy match with casual clothes where im getting a bit too old to wear jordans everyday. I better hide , i know there are SOMP believers in here
