Haha I hear you man... Personally those dont hold much significance to me. Power laces or not. My thing is I just couldnt see myself wearing them, they are more of a trophy piece to me. If I cant wear it I dont go near it lol

BUT I will readily admit the shoe itself has always been dope ever since I first saw it in BTTF what was it.. 3? when he pulled them out of that dope speakerbox and had the fitting futuristic jacket!

Better Story:

A few weeks ago I helped my friend DJ at the Freestyle Festival and wore my De La Highs(Green).
Vanilla Ice was performing and looked at my Sneaks and commented on my Ninja Turtle Shoes.
I said, What?!
He said, Cool Ninja Turtle Shoes, I'm a Hugh Ninja Turtle Fan...Are those Custom?
I said, Oh these are the De La Soul Highs, not the Ninja Turtle Highs or Customs. They were available about 10 years ago.
He said, Oh I thought they were Special Ninja Turtle Shoes!
I said, That a Low Top versiojn was coming out on May 16th, and he should pick some up, if he liked them.
He said, Yeah, I'm gonna have my Manager pick me up some, so I can have Ninja Turtle Shoes!
I said, Ohhhh, Ok, whatever...
Made me laugh as he walked away...

Anyone else getting a bit of the run around with that spot out of Carona? Called due earlier and he told me they hadnt gone through the stock but my pairs would be set aside. He then told me hed call me back in an hour to make the payment. I let him know I work in a lab that gets no service so if I dont answer leave a message. Okay cool. So an hour passes and nothing. I decide to call back to see what the deal was and some other guy picks up the phone and tells me  they have my info but because of the amount of calls they got they switched it to in store only and IF they have any left over they will start calling people on "the list" to place phone orders....

Moral of this story... Aint no loyalty in this game!!

I called about 30 mins ago, and he said "uhhh,.. ill have to call you back before the shop closes tonight, if we have sizes left"  so...yeah.  will be nice if they call back...but yeah seemed a bit weird.
